Many companies have had to pull back on these other advantages because they only can't to do. How can you properly get your staff to work together and to be pleased to do the tasks you give them on a smaller budget?

Generally speaking, you frequently do not have to spend plenty of money to engage people. One of the first things you can do is to encourage them through positive reinforcements on a daily basis.

1. Greet them and ask them how they are today.

2. Go to the floor where your team is working and ask them if they need assist.

3. Let them know when they are doing a good job.

4. Discipline them fairly and accurately.

5. Encourage people by telling them what an asset they are to the whole group.

Generally, these vocal motivational tools can assist extremely to improve the overall success of a corporation. They can assist in allowing you to work well with your team and they do not price anything more than your time.

For those who do want to do something special, there are smaller things you can do without having to host a lavish team activity, for example. Here are some ideas to consider.

1. Bring in lunch form a local deli. This simple act is a sign of liking.

2. Have t-shirts printed that are a thank you gift to your staff. If they generally were suits or uniforms, allow them a dress down day with t-shirts or polo's.

3. Have that corporation gathering at the end of the year. It could possibly take some budget savings during the year, but giving back to your team may be well worth spending a bit more to host a good corporation Christmas party or annual activity for them.

In some cases, you may already be doing plenty of things to engage your team but you can no longer carry on them due to budget cuts. Be open and upfront with the staff about this, so that they know you want to still offer for them but with the current business's state, you just can't do so. Keep at the forefront that your team is what will assist you to get back to the top so finding ways that work as motivation should be something you strive to do in any economic climate.
