Spyware detection is becoming synonymous with any and all internet activity. Nowadays to be connected to the World Wide Web without at least some form of security or protection software is like computer suicide.

But with so much information out there and with so many spyware detection software solutions available how can anyone really know even the best place to start? It can be like a minefield and so much of the information is bad, misinformed or just plain wrong.

Bad information is rife at the moment. Thousands upon thousands of websites are providing information about why the spyware, adware and malware detection software is the best. Then trying to push people into a corner and suggest no option but to purchase their recommended product.

But in truth a lot of the paid spyware detection software isn't really much better than some of the higher end free stuff. A lot of the better companies provide free solutions with limited capability that can be used effectively in conjunction with a second piece of software.

This has been the recommended and most effective method of both spyware detection and removal for many years now. Of course running free solutions in this way is time consuming and monotonous. But it is necessary to keep a computer free from unwanted software attempting to sneak its way in.

The most important part of any security software, including spyware detection software, is the database that it runs from. That's why it's a really good idea to run at least two spyware solutions if you only use free versions. But nowadays the recommendation for top notch protection is to install and run a paid solution.

The differences between paid versions and free versions of the top end products is all about the database and the subsequent removal of less common or more stubborn spyware software. Although many free spyware solutions may have the detection capabilities they don't all have the ability to remove everything. That only comes with a subscription.

It stands to reason that you get what you pay for. This is generally true in all things, including spyware, adware and malware detection and removal software. In fact all internet security is more effective, more secure and less time consuming when you are prepared to dip into your pocket for high end software and support.

Free spyware detection software is good so long as you don't rely on just one program. But if you want truly comprehensive protection, then its best to bite the bullet and purchase a decent product.
