As I Iook in the mirror what do I see?

An older woman looking back at me

I see traces of sorrow and laughter around her eyes mouth

She has a look of knowledge that only experience could bring about

If you look at her you will say "boy has she aged"!

Well, yes indeed her-story is on every line in her face

She has suffered more times than she cares to admit

Trudging through life with an emotional backpack

Times when she wanted to just sit!

Problems weighing her down so much she had to frown

Wondering when the end of tribulation and strife will come

She has battled through more personal wars than the US Army

She sank more battle ships in her home than the US Navy

She was a prisoner of war in her own mind

Many a day she felt captivated and lost in space and time

As I look at her body, I feel set free

I love the the way she looks; more of what she used to be

She now cares more for her soul than her flesh you see.

She graduated from the class of "make believe"

Mistakes she made taught her lessons she cares not to repeat

Some lessons were harder than others

But she made it to the top of her class and graduated with honors

She can now say by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB she is an "over-comer"

Now she can honestly leave a great legacy of HOPE

She will say to all who care to receive, love yourself no matter how you look

Just hold on to the Word of God and believe the GOOD BOOK.

When in DOUBT give Jesus Christ a SHOUT!

He will not let you down

So there is no need to carry a frown
