Procrastination - The word itself comes from the Latin word procrastinatus: pro- (forward) and crastinus (of tomorrow). Procrastination is a behavior which is characterized by the deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision. [1] For a behavior to be classified as procrastination, it must be counterproductive, needless, and delaying. [2 Most of us put off our work for the last minute. And very few among them get completed at the end. As a result we face trouble and difficulties . but still we are ignorant to avoid procrastinating our work. Procrastination is the thief of time. As we keep delaying the work most of it gets safe sided and finally remains incomplete. Tomorrow is the only day in the year that appeals to a lazy man. The more we delay the more lazy and ignorant we become. It is often seen that people repent for procrastinating their work and wish they had started it earlier. But You may delay, but time will not. Time and tide waits for none. So time once gone is gone forever. There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back. There fore we should gainfully utilize all the opportunities provided to us for completing a particular work . Procrastination is such a habit which always leads to depression and tension. Procrastinating people start panicking when their work is not complete. This leads to poor work with less efficiency. Procrastination is also reflected in the character of the person. Such a person id considered irresponsible and ignorant to take up and complete any duty on time. He is not only thought as a lazy person but also one who is interested in nothing. A person following the practice of procrastination can never achieve success in his life. we keep procrastinating the work by saying we will do it some day but we should always remember that Someday is not a day of the week. Procrastination is opportunity's assassin. If we get an opportunity and decide to procrastinate it then it is sure that we will lose it. And opportunities do not knock on our doors everyday. Procrastination leads to loss and misfortune. So why follow a thing that is so harmful to us? So friends brace up yourselves and avoid procrastinating your work because The best way to get something done is to begin.
