Sharing my
inner thoughts, opinions and views has always come easily for me, once I
discover what the heck they are.
Trusting others with these private and intimate details of self has, at
times, returned to kick me in the behind.
But, as a true pioneer and adventurous soul, I continue to take leaps
into the abyss, praying for guidance, protection and courage to endure, learn
from and survive whatever may come.
My faith in
God strengthens my resolve and continues to deliver everything I need to
sustain a life filled with hope and prosperity.
As Joyce Meyer's said, "Hope is the platform that faith has to stand
on". And Hebrews 11:1 states: Faith is
being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I surmise that what is really being said here
is that without hope faith has nothing to support it and cannot exist without
it. That faith and hope are
interchangeable, inclusive and part and parcel of each other. Can we, as a people, have hope with out
faith? Can we, as individuals, have
faith without the hope that what we have faith in is real and true? I think not.
As a mature
Christian woman, a writer, a person who tends to live life to the fullest and
deep abyss diver (metaphorical speaking that is so far), I ponder on such
topics. As I sit in my beautiful and
cozy room, which is where I spend the majority of my time, I wonder about not
only the answers that I seek, but more importantly what are the questions that
I need to ask.
One must
start from the premise that we do indeed have questions. There are those who live with the belief that
all we need is faith and to ask questions is blasphemous. They feel more comfortable accepting the
information (whatever it may be) at face value.
They worry about discovering information that may challenge their world,
even though that information could enlighten it and bring forth an even deeper
appreciation and love of the world.
But, for
me, I must admit that I care too much about the truth of the message to acquiesce
to the assumptions of others. Asking
questions with the desire to understand the message is a sincere compliment and
a form of acknowledgement that the message has value. The understanding of the
message will be beneficial not only for me, but to those with whom I chose to
share its benefits and lessons. It is the
pursuit of that answer which allows us to grow as human beings; enables us to
teach others and, as it turns out, create more questions.
As I
continue my biblical studies with faith in the message and hope in its meaning,
I will continue to be blessed by the wisdom I gain, and the relationship that
deepens with the author. They say that
it is the journey that has value and importance, not necessarily the
destination. But, on this journey of
faith which I have vowed to take, it is my soul's destination of eternity with
our Heavenly Father that is the gift at the end of the road. Without
doubt, it is the faith that I carry along that road and the hope that the end
is indeed worth the journey that keeps me going every day.
May your
journey be filled with everlasting faith and unwavering hope.
