Unique Hairstyles - If ever there was something a person could do to make them look and feel good, is to sport a new stylish hairstyle. It doesn't have to be a style that's in fashion and worn by everyone else, just one you like and suit. Anyhow who wants a hairstyle everyone else has, besides it's a unique decision to do something outside of the box. Being unique certainly gets you noticed, and this is what you want "right."

New unique hairstyles don't have to cost the earth; in fact it is cheaper to forget about having your hair styled, and just change hair accessories instead. The difference this can make is amazing. By change I mean, if you wear a pony tail secured with your favourite "colour" scrunchie then change the colour, or swap the scrunchie for a trailing ribbon tied round the ponytail allowing enough ribbon to run the length of your hair, or wear a bow. You could wear a silk/fresh flower, not only is this pretty, but will have you smell nice to them up close. Hawaiian women at one time wore nothing else but flowers in their hair. And no-one can deny this didn't look fabulous while those hips swayed.

If during the day your hair is styled in a bun then create a colourful braid using scraps of light material to wrap round the bun. Clip hair slides either side of the bun, or make it more unique, and clasp both slides alongside each other on one side of the head. Ideas on hair cosmetics to fancy up the hair are endless. Flattering hair pieces bring lifeless looking hairstyles back to exciting looking ones.

If you already wear a unique hairstyle neatly cut in a bob and you love the style then "add" hair accessories if you have never done so before. Place colourful hairpins, clips and decorative clasps up top without upsetting the style. A hair band will hold the fringe back of your face, or keep it in place to follow through from the front. If you like plaits then interweave a string of small beads/glittery jewels into the braid on creation, think Rastafarian hairdos. If you're hair is long, style a single braid down over one shoulder, and tie a colourful chiffon scarf around the head allowing the scarf tail end to flow with the braid. I've seen chopsticks used as hair accessories and believe me highly stylish they were too.
Have you got a creative mind then using the below make your own fancy hair bits and bobs
  • Fine wire/thread
  • Buttons
  • Tin foil shapes
  • Feathers
  • Small nuts without the bolts make unusual hanging chain pieces for decorating the hair.
  • Tiny shaped plastic animals and flowers

Extensions will give the long unique hairstyle you desire but you can pay dearly for this. It's worth a onetime payment for a hairpiece to create your own fabulous hairstyles. Some of these ideas may sound over the top, but if they work and save you money, then do it. If going the whole hog means having long hair cut off, or short hair dyed to make you feel good, then a new hairstyle it is. New hairstyles portray new images so choose wisely; if your image is to be one of beauty and perfection. Seek expert advice from your hair stylist who can create the look you want.

Hair is undoubtedly a versatile fashion accessory which can be colored, curled, straightened, dressed up, or dressed down, however, fashionable or not, it is about what suits. It's not the hairstyle but the condition of the hair that is most critical for either making you look good, or take beauty away
The hair throughout the day, "every day," has to cope with some serious damaging agents, and unfortunately we are primary culprits responsible for causing the hair to suffer…using products containing damaging agents or other.

What we eat (poor diet) and how we conduct maintenance, and hair products we use might need to be changed to achieve unique hairstyles. Out of our jurisdiction is pollution, air-conditioning and central heating for causing hair problems; nonetheless we can treat hair and help it to adapt to different environments. Good hair care and prompt treatment is the key to vibrant healthy hair. Hair can be fine, medium-textured or coarse. Fine hair tends to lack volume, while medium-textured hair is more manageable, strong and stretchy. Coarse hair is problem hair most of the time. Hair is copious, therefore can be heavy, frizzy and difficult to control. Some problems women face every day are split ends, dandruff, dry and greasy hair, itchy scalp.

  • Extreme cold damp weather can give rise to brittle and dry hair making it curly, frizz, straighten, drab and limp. Treat hair accordingly with products to protect it from climate changes and bad indoor environments.
  • Help condense drying effects of central heating and sit bowls of water near radiators or use humidifiers.
  • Use intensive conditioner in the severe winter months to help control dryness
  • In wet weather, apply a mousse, gel, or hair spray; this helps hold the hairstyle and gives some protection to a degree.

If damage is already done not to worry, there are products to help better the condition. Remember, no product is available that repairs split ends. Have a hair stylist trim your split ends. Rats' tails won't allow the hair to appear healthy let alone style it to perfection. If hair is badly damaged, and depending on how much, consider having your hair cut short so you can nurture it back to health while it's growing.

  • Allow the hair to dry naturally, and avoid using curling irons, or at least cut down on usage to about 2 times in comparison to 5 6 or 7 times a week. Use a quality serum to protect hair against the heat.
  • Use a clarifying shampoo and/or conditioner to lessen the amount of unwanted residue the hair is holding on to.
  • Wet hair should be combed, not brushed.
  • Bleaching hair frequently is bad. Just because you're young and have healthy hair doesn't mean your hair can withstand bleaching agents more than the elderly who color their grey hair.

There is no debate can rise from the fact that covering grey hair can sneakily mislead people from guessing your true age, however if the process of colouring is shabbily done then it can have an adverse affect. Young people go grey too, so dyeing your hair to cover any grey make sure you know what you're doing. When dyeing grey hair pick a shade lighter than your skin tone to warm up your complexion, and don't go too dark as dark can look harsh. Having said this, too light can upset the possibility of the younger appearance happening. To completely cover grey hair use a permanent hair colour, and one no more than two shades darker than your natural colour.

With age, skin tone gets lighter so opt for neutrals. Honey/beige colours suit people whose natural hair colour is blonde whilst chestnut/auburn looks best on dark hair.  Do you want to change hair colour but apprehensive then wear a wig? To try and tell the difference between wigs and healthy hair these days is difficult because of the way there manufactured to trick the eye? Wigs come in all shapes, lengths and in unique hairstyles.

Learn how to style your own hair and save money, or make some by doing friends and family members hair. Women love having their hair coloured, dyed, trimmed, cut or styled in the comfort of their own home. Women are more open with their hair stylist on their own territory, and, give better tips for a job well done
Curly hair tends to be one of the most difficult of all hair types to manage. To keep curls and other hair types in check is not to shampoo as much, as it tends to strip the hair of the essential natural oils it needs. Instead of 5 or 7 shampooing sessions cut down to every 2 days. Doing this you protect the hair making it more manageable.

Less shampooing allows natural oils to build back up. Help add to this with conditioner as it also adds synthetic oils. It is vital you use the right comb/brush for hair grooming. More damage is done to hair because of the wrong tools used.
