I am a huge Pixar and Disney fan and with today's movie options, I can't help but be ecstatic about the upcoming releases from Disney.

My son was a huge Toy Story fan as a toddler. We all have heard the news about Toy Story 3 coming to theaters in June 2010. What is just as exciting is that Disney has announced that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be released in 3D this coming October.

3D is the theme for Disney over the next year releasing five 3D movies including the Toy Story 3 movie.

Set to release in November just in time for Christmas, Disney is releasing a 3D Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge. Gary Oldman stars as the faithful clerk and his cheery nephew is Colin Firth. I am super excited to hear Jim Carrey in this role.

Beauty and the Beast returns to theaters in 3D in February 2010 at the delight of mom and daughter princess everywhere. I can't wait. According to Disney, the film captures the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright and beautiful young woman who's taken prisoner by a hideous beast in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle's enchanted staff-a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others-and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast's exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince. Beauty and the Beast was the first-and only-animated feature to receive a Best Picture nomination from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

March offers more excitement at Tim Burton puts his spin on a classic favorite. The epic 3D fantasy adventure Alice In Wonderland stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror. The all-star cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Crispin Glover.

The last 3D movie that is promised has yet to set a release date, Tron. According to Disney Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn played by Jeff Bridges, looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Other movies that look like they will be fun family movies set to come out include Ponyo and Prince and the Frog. Ponyo is set to come out August of this year and is inspired by "The Little Mermaid."

The Princess and The Frog is set to be release by Christmas time. It is a comedy that takes place in New Orleans. It feature a beautiful girl named Tiana and a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

Get your frequent movie watcher cards bought and sit back for some fun family entertainment. I think so many times we long for these kind of movies. I am happy to see Disney delivering this next year. I can't wait!
