‘Manifestation’ is the practice of consciously and deliberately attracting people, events, things, and conditions into one’s physical experience.

Indulge my movie going enjoyment for a moment as I make reference to the movie Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, the sequel to Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, in order to illustrate a fun message about manifestation.

In the final "Battle of the Bands" segment of the movie, when they are confronted by their enemy, De Nolomos, Bill and Ted say "after we get away from this guy, we’ll travel back in time and set up the things that we’re going to need to get (defeat) him now: like a sand bag (which they used to hit the gun out of his hand), then a cage (which falls over him from the ceiling to lock him up).

De Nomolos smirks and responds with "I too can play the time travel game, I will go back in time to set up the things I need (now) in order to vanquish you, like a key (to unlock the cage), and another gun (since they hit the other one out of his hand)!"

Bill and Ted look at each other and emphatically say "there’s one thing that you didn’t think of (then the second gun shoots out a flag with their band’s name on it), yeah, only the winners are going to be able to go back in time and set things up! We set up the key, and we set up the gun!"

Once they defeated their enemy, they then realized that they still didn’t know how to play (the guitar) and they were about to have to deliver as the last band of the evening. They made the decision to go back in time and to learn how to play the guitar, and sheerly because they made the decision, were totally committed, took all the necessary actions, enough time had elapsed (for them to practice), and they had a deep-seated knowingness that their actions would ultimately create what they wanted, they were in control of the now in their lives and got what they desired/manifested.

Now what Bill and Ted knew and what we need to realize is that the actions we take in our lives now, which ultimately become our past, completely affect our future. Then went on to sum everything up from their perspective: "We’ve been to the past. We’ve been to the future. And you know, the best place to be is here, the best time to be is now, and all’s we can say is - Let’s Rock!"

They felt the power! They knew that they were in control of time and what they would attract in their lives because they were in control of what they focussed on and the actions they can take now in their lives to get what they want. They took an active role in their lives and were consciously deliberate in their thoughts and actions. They also knew where they were going in life which is what helped them to navigate what they were doing.

Once we become conscious of the laws that govern the creation of our universe, then we can begin to literally co-create anything we want. We can choose what we want to manifest.

It is like being our own reality-making directors controlling the actions, people, events, scenery and circumstances of the movie scenes of our lives.

Now there is not an immediate manifestation of any thought. The time between your offerings of a thought and its physical manifestation is known as ‘the buffer of time’. We have all heard ‘patience is a virtue’. In terms of manifestation, it is crucial to be able to trust that, even if the desired result has not appeared yet, it is on the way (much like trusting that seeds planted in a garden will sprout soon). Now, the more enthused, excited, and emotionally-charged one is about something ... i.e., the better it feels ... the faster you'll see it show up in our life.

Your friend,

Monique Briand
