Are joint pain, inflammation and arthritis strictly confined to the elderly? Hardly! All three affect many other age groups as well. Joint pain will differ in intensity from person to person, and whats amazing and alarming at the same time, is the number of young people that are beginning to suffer from joint pain and inflammation secondary to the Super Sizing of America . Regretfully, these number seems to be increasing every day, with no real end in site.

What can I do about my joint and

arthritis pain?

There are a plethora of pain and inflammation relief drugs in the market, such as morphine, opiates, opium, muscle relaxers, ibuprofen, aspirin, and aleve. With respect to the age of the patient, the amount of pain being experienced as well as allergies and tolerance, the dosage should be altered accordingly by your health care provider, but only for the SHORT TERM! To avoid long term side effects of treating chronic pain, and also to treat the pain effectively, natural joint pain relief is the safest sustainable alternative to pharmaceuticals.

Ayurvedic medicines, green shell mussel oil and medicated artho oil, all come under the category of natural joint pain relief components. You can also try herbal remedy ingredients such as ginger, camphor, menthol, ashwagandha and boswellia. The immune system will be modulated naturally if these components are used to heal, instead of relying on the internal organ killing NSAIDs.

Diet is also a critical component of stabilizing and eradicating joint pain and inflammation. Certain foods from your daily diet should be eliminated or minimized. Certain food types may even cause inflammation, these include, pork, lamb, excessive alcohol, vegetable oil, dairy products, and some citrus fruits. These food should be closely monitored and minimized or even eliminated if they seem to be a driver for inflammation and pain. It's up to you to take the reigns and manage your wellness.

Getting to the root cause of joint pain can be a little tricky You may suffer from joint infections, autoimmune disorder, injury, poor metabolism, excessive use of joints, or obesity. Joint pain has become quite a common disorder these days, especially since the baby boomer demographic is staying active longer than any generation before them.

Dont be fooled by the pharmaceutical companies, who would have you believe that there are very limited options to heal and/or cure joint pain or arthritis pain, other than chemical drugs.

Do yourself a favor and do your homework. Don't limit yourself to your MD, talk to a local chiropractor, physical therapist, sports medicine practitioner, nutritionist or your local ND. Pharmaceuticals are great for the short term arrest of your condition, but not a suitable long term treatment.
