The eyes are known as "the windows to our soul". If this is so applying eye liner creates window frames to our soul.
Even in a less dramatic note, you can tell a lot just by looking into someone's eyes. Our eyes naturally draw attention to them, they are definitely the most out standing of all our facial features. An easy way to influence the way we display ourselves is to apply eye make up. There are many things to know about how to properly apply eye make up. In this article we would like to give you some great tips on how to use eye liner.
Eye liner is exactly what it sounds like drawing lines around our eyes. So First of you must make sure your means of drawing these lines are up to standard.
Make sure your eye liner pencil is sharp. If using liquid eye liner make sure it is fresh.
The next thing is to hold your eye liner in a way that will allow you beat control. Hold eye liner application device (pencil or liquid eye liner applicator) as if holding a pen. Turn your hand so that the tip of the applicator / pencil is parallel to the eyelids.
You should apply eyeliner directly after eye shadow. In order to steady your hand lean you elbow on your makeup counter / table top / chest drawers top or, at least against your thigh.
Apply eyeliner along just above the upper eyelid's lashes close to the eye lash line. At first stop short of where last eye lashes grow. Drawing a line too far towards the corner of the eyes may look funny. You can always experiment with lengthening the line and get to know what works for you.
To soften harsh lines smudge them a little using your finger, a q-tip or the foam rubber at the back of the eye liner pencil. Then gently run a coat of dark eye shadow over it (use a sharp brush for necessary exactness). This will soften the frame you created for your eyes and is most necessary when using a liquid liner.
Don't get discouraged if you have a hard time getting the results you wish for at first, remember "practice makes perfect", this is especially true to gentile things such as applying eye make up. You will be giving killer looks in no time.
