The fun aspect of Twitter is the amount of celebrities that Twitter. From athletes to politicians to actors, Twitter is the place to be.

Twitter allows normal individuals the opportunity to get to know famous people on an individual more personal level. It allows the common folk to realize celebrities are people too! It also makes you realize if you truly know someone or not.

For instance, I follow Sarah Palin on Twitter. Last year, I would have voted for her. Now I am not so sure. On the flipside, I follow Mike Huckabee and am even more impressed with him now then I was before.

Although, Twitter gives great opportunities for celebrities, it is starting to cause some issues. For politicians, it can ruin their image with the posting of personal issues or just showing a bad side of them.

For instance, Yahoo News is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a confusing video post on Twitter after closing a deal that would close the gap on California's deficit. The problem was that in the video Tweet, the governor was holding a knife for some unknown reason.

His press secretary's response: "I don't know why he is holding a knife. The message is in what he is saying, not what he is holding in his hand."

The governor has caused many residents to question his work ethics as well as his commitment to the job if he is Twittering during the day.

This isn't the first politician to not do well using Twitter. There have been senators accused to security breaches by posting oversea travel schedules. Even some congressmen shared about drinking. That is something you might expect for Matthew McConaughey, not politicians. Not good for images.

Another example of Twitter causing trouble to a celebrity is the recent fine set on Soccer superstar Brian Ching. Ching made a comment about bad calls during a game on his Twitter feed.

The league slapped a $500 fine on him.

The good news in this case was that his followers raised money to cover the fine. Although, they personally did not pay the fine, they did give the money to a charity of Ching's choosing!

Despite the fine, I have to admit that I love following the Houston Dynamo players the most! They are always pulling pranks on one another and giving us the opportunity to see what life is really like as a professional soccer player.

My favorite posts are when Stuart Holden, Dynamo player, forgets to log out and Ching or one of the other guys take it upon themselves to update his status. Pretty funny stuff and it lets my son see that they are real people, not just some celebrity athlete!

Twitter can give you the opportunity to learn what these people are really like. It can also mean trouble for those not experienced with social marketing or those who are just not good people!
