Does the idea of truck campers suit your lifestyle more than a full sized RV? If so, you're not alone. Many people are much more comfortable in this type of vehicle than one the size of a bus! These vehicles can have just as many amenities as many of the larger units, but are easier to maneuver and get much better fuel mileage. The key is knowing where to find used truck campers for sale.

A Good Source

Your local newspaper classified ads may offer some units for sale. Craigslist is another option. You might also find a flyer around town advertising one for sale. However, one of the drawbacks for buying privately is that you never really know who you're buying from. There is obviously a reason why the vehicle is being sold, but few sellers will be completely honest. What seems like a great deal now may cost you thousands in repair bill later.

A Better Source

You may want to contact the banks and other financial institutions in your area. They may have repossessed truck campers that they need to sell. However, there is not a lot of leeway on the price, in most cases. You may not find the deal that you need.

The Best Source

Some of the best used truck campers can be found at government auctions. Local, state, and federal agencies may be selling seized or surplus campers at astonishingly low prices. The best part about these auctions is that they are seldom advertised past a small ad in the local newspaper. However, there is a way to see all the auction listings at once.

Where to Find the Auctions

You can find websites that offer complete listings of government auctions and they are categorized according to location or what is being sold. This is a terrific way to see what is available, where the auction is located, and what the starting bid is. Many used truck campers have a $100 starting bid. In most cases, the camper is available for you to go over with a fine tooth comb before you bid. You won't find a better source than a government auction for your next recreational vehicle.

You can save yourself time and literally thousands of dollars by looking over a review of sites that auction used RVs for sale and by using our online buying guide (no need to sign up) to learn how to buy used RVs. You'll find reviews of auction sites, FREE tips on great new features to look for, and how to get expert RV inspections, even across the country at http://BuyingUsedRVsforSale.com
