The Wii Really provides an excellent format for playing this game. Filled with action just as with the movie, G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra, brings to life two of the 80s characters in this collaboration between the toy maker Hasbro and Paramount pictures. Their first collaboration was Transformers and that was such a big hit both on the big screen and in the gaming community that they decided to give it a try again, hoping to produce perhaps an even bigger hit than transformers.
I can imagine a lot of families are getting into this movie because it reminds dad of his childhood, through the old toys. It only seems natural to get the Wii game that goes with it. There is plenty of shooting in the game. You can practically surf on the top of a car, and then sail off onto another vehicle moving at high speeds. That is only a small piece of the action that is happening. These guys are known for fighting with their hands, feet and even head butts. There is plenty of that to do as well, while playing
The whole point of the game is to save the world. What else would you expect from G.I. Joe and his crew. The enemy is known as Cobra. They are trying to destroy the world with all sorts of evil plans. You can play the game through any of 12 characters. That is a lot of choices I think. Especially since each different guy has his own particular style and they all have a different set of weapons to use too. It is good for variety as you play more.
The game also has its own unique storyline which varies somewhat from the movie although the key moments from the film are still present. You have the ability to unlock more Cobra players as you play which also makes the game play more interesting and challenging. In two player mode you and a friend can play together and can form your own G.I. Joe team and can choose to call in select other players to help and support you.
Once you start playing this you will have to enforce some family turn taking. It is a great one for teens and parents to play together. That is a nice chance to bond and get some laughs together. When you have teenager at home, you can't have too much bonding and good times.
