Club Penguin plays take place at the Stage, a special building located in the center of the square between the Pizza Parlor and Pet Shop. Every few weeks, a new play takes place within the stage, and the appearance of the room changes to show views from this play. You can see the title of each play that is now running written the marquee on the outside of the Stage.
There were many plays produced on the game since the launch of the Stage as a new room in November, 2007. Each play includes new views, a total script that you can read, and a new edition of the Costume Trunk, the clothing catalog for Club Penguin plays.
The inside of the stage features the main stage itself, which changes appearance for each individual Club Penguin play, and the regular theatre features that do not change. These include the seats, the 2 balconies, and the Switchbox three thousand device, which is located at the bottom of the Stage and controls different lighting and view animations for each play.
This is a catalogue of most of the plays that have been produced at the Club Penguin stage :

In March of 2009 a special gala was held at the stage. It was the first yearly Club Penguin Play Awards and it celebrated the best Club Penguin plays of the year. Players in the game were permitted to vote for their favourite plays in several categories. The large winner was the Quest for the Golden Puffle, which claimed four out of the five categories. During the time that the awards were held, penguins could attend a special party. Members were authorized into a special backstage area where they could celebrate and meet several special celebrity penguins like Aunt Arctic, the Club Penguin Band, and Gary the Gadget Guy.
Phil loves to play online games and writes about many of them, especially Club Penguin
I must be getting old. I had no idea what you were talking about until your last line. Next time, you might add a sentence early on about it being a video game (of course, had I read the category at the top of the page, I would have realized but I never read them!)
