Craft materials, a little supervision and help and your child won't be bored any longer. Here are some kid craft ideas for busy moms.

Basic Materials you'll need for Kids Crafts:

Child safety scissors

Colored pencils, crayons or non-toxic paint

Glue or glue stick

Plain or Construction Papers in a variety of colors

Accessories to decorate such as: glitter, beads, ribbon and confetti

Save extra mail, magazines or newspaper for cutouts. Other craft items you can use are colored markers and gel pens. Your child's imagination will have more possibilities with more materials to work with.

You can use recycled cereal and toothpaste boxes or plastic containers and cardboard packages. Free natural material in the backyard make interesting projects such as rocks, leaves, twigs and wildflowers.

Here is an easy kids craft projects:

Make a Collage

Help your child choose a theme using a single or group of animals, popular food, famous cartoon action figure or other idea you may have. Use a heavy paper for the back. They'll need a lot of glue so have a big supply. Look through magazines, cereal boxes and on various items for photos related to your theme and cut it out. You can also cut out shapes around the photo in circles, diamonds, triangles or squares. This is a good project to use to teach your child their shapes. You can also look headlines in articles similar to the theme and paste those on the collage to give it an identity. Let your child get creative and glue beans, rice, noodles, popsicle sticks, spaghetti and other items to border or outline areas on the collage. You'll need to glue all of these items in a heavy layer of glue.
