Small Kids Craft Projects for Busy Moms
I'm sure you've heard your child say: "I'm bored" many times. Are there days when you're looking for something to occupy their time? If so you need small kids craft projects. Craft materials, a little supervision and help and your child won't be bored any longer. Here are some kid craft ideas for busy moms.
Basic Materials you'll need for Kids Crafts:
Child safety scissors
Colored pencils, crayons or non-toxic paint
Glue or glue stick
Plain or Construction Papers in a variety of colors
Accessories to decorate such as: glitter, beads, ribbon and confetti
Save extra mail, magazines or newspaper for cutouts. Other craft items you can use are colored markers and gel pens. Your child's imagination will have more possibilities with more materials to work with.
You can use recycled cereal and toothpaste boxes or plastic containers and cardboard packages. Free natural material in the backyard make interesting projects such as rocks, leaves, twigs and wildflowers.

Make a Collage
Help your child choose a theme using a single or group of animals, popular food, famous cartoon action figure or other idea you may have. Use a heavy paper for the back. They'll need a lot of glue so have a big supply. Look through magazines, cereal boxes and on various items for photos related to your theme and cut it out. You can also cut out shapes around the photo in circles, diamonds, triangles or squares. This is a good project to use to teach your child their shapes. You can also look headlines in articles similar to the theme and paste those on the collage to give it an identity. Let your child get creative and glue beans, rice, noodles, popsicle sticks, spaghetti and other items to border or outline areas on the collage. You'll need to glue all of these items in a heavy layer of glue.
Kid crafts projects will keep kids of all ages busy for hours. Forget boredom. Crafts are fun and is a time that can be applied as a learning time to teach about objects, shapes and colors.
Buy as many craft supplies for your child as you can afford or find. Kids craft projects is a great bonding time and the craft they create may be a memento you will cherish for a lifetime.
