There are various moments in our lives when we do not feel at ease with our body, when without apparent reason we are not happy or, even worse, we suffer panic attacks and depression that we often can not explain.

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) tries to solve these troubles with methods quite different from traditional scientific psychiatry by postulating different and innovative concepts to help us break these knots that disturb us so much. Panic attacks are periods of intense fear or discomfort, typically with a sudden start and usually lasting less than thirty minutes. Symptoms include tremors, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, dizziness, hyperventilation, parenthesis (tingling sensation), tachycardia, and feelings of suffocation. The attacks are sudden and often do not seem to be caused by anything yet the symptoms are very debilitating.

Panic attacks are often experienced by people suffering from other anxiety disorders such as agoraphobia, claustrophobia, social phobia, hypochondria and other psychological conditions including anxiety.  However, panic attacks are not always indicative of mental disorders. Additionally, some people who suffer from panic disorders may need treatment for other problems. Clinical depression is often associated with panic disorders as is alcoholism and substances abuse. All these disorders are highly debilitating for the normal life of an individual.

NLP has developed its own explanation of why these disorders occur and the specific healing process to follow. One cornerstone is the theory of family constellations. According to this theory, they allow you to discover, bringing to light and dissolving familiar "snares" which cause disease, mental and psychic disorders and are transmitted from generation to generation. The reconstruction of the family tree brings out the hidden dynamics that bind to the family of origin and to groups we belong.  This can open up the opportunity to free ourselves from the invisible links that bind us and force us to live a life that does not feel right.

The secrets of a family will inevitably be reflected by other maladies that one is forced to suffer after many generations of dormancy. It is quite intuitive to think that some systems may be left, for example a sport association, and others not, first of all the ecosystem but also the family system. In family therapy, the individual is never  taken as an isolated element but is placed in a context of relationships, this allows finding links and connections which are almost always subconscious. Through the method of family constellations, it is possible to make conscious some processes normally intended to remain and work in darkness and, at the same time, re-connect with the living forces of our origins. The staging of family constellations consists of choosing the representative family members and placing them in the space in relationship among them.
