Which is more important for God to be on our side or for us to be on God's side? That is a dilemma that we won't solve in this article but we can look at a viewpoint.
Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, recently defended a statement in which she reportedly characterized the war in Iraq as "a task from God."
ABC's Charlie Gibson quoted her as saying: "Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God," but Mrs. Palin was referencing a famous quote by former President Abraham Lincoln.
"I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's words," Palin responded but Abraham Lincoln, "Let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time, but let us pray that we are on God's side."
Dr. O'Neal Dozier's has written a new book," Who's On The Lord's Side Politically", Armour Of Light Publishing, http://www.armouroflight.org/dozier.shtml ) and it was written to help the conservative base do more than pray that they are on God's side.
Who's On The Lord's Side Politically is a faith-based guide to the democratic process and it effectively addresses critical issues including: Abortion & Judicial Activism, Homosexuality. Capital Punishment, the Right To Bear Arms, Income Taxation, Public School Prayer, School Choice, Affirmative Action, Islam, The War On Terror, and Immigration, from a Biblical perspective.

James Kennedy was the Senior Pastor. Rev. Dozier was also listed as a member of The 2004 National Register of Who's Who in executives and professionals.
Rev. Dozier is married to Leketia Dozier, who is an attorney in Broward County. He is the father of three children: Adrienne, Tarakiki and Marilita and has two grandchildren. Rev. Dozier, his wife and youngest daughter, Marilita still reside in Pompano Beach, Florida.
ABOUT THE BOOK
"Who's On The Lord's Side Politically" is a book that challenges every Godly person to be on the Lord's side politically and in every other area of life. This is a book about choosing to serve the Lord and choosing to do so in a way that positively impacts and influences the world that we have been chosen to live in. Reading this book might change the way you view the world.
Rev. Dozier has been active in Pompano Beach politics and I have had he opportunity to meet with him and interview him on numerous occasions. He is passionate in his viewpoints and is both articulate and inspirational. Rev. Dozier is about to launch a major speaking tour and the conservatives will find a new voice in their attempt to regain control of Congress.

OK, so now I found another who could be elected with you! (By the way, I supported Alan Keys - thought he'd be wonderful to represent a large bunch of "we, the people") Loved this quote "tries to remain humble with a servant's heart" Servant leadership is the TRUE leadership and that doesn't mean that a servant can't take a really strong stand on issues. Marijo
God hates war and never answers combattants prayers for victory;I do like to believe, privately, ,however, that he did have a hand in defeating nazi Germany
JP, I'll be honest by saying that the title had me ready for a spiritual gift; maybe I slipped it. But, once I read further, I was more intrigued on researhing further into the subject. I didn't want to hold up the time,so this is my comment for now ... thanks for sharing some very intersting information and helpful resources, Mr. Bender. You're the Best!
Ronyae, wow your last statement made me blush. As it is said that you can't judge a book by it's cover, you also can't prejudge a column by its title. Thanks for your feedback. JP
