In the days when Christianity began, men were with enormous uniformity, uninformed or ignorant, revolting, unashamedly, unbearably ignorant and bad mannered. There were no books. Printing was not even prophesied of in their dreams. What knowledge there was, was scattered by manuscripts bit-by-bit and inconspicuously written by hand. But that is neither here nor there. I plainly note the reality that the era that fashioned Christianity was the period in which the common or ordinary man was extraordinarily illiterate and/or uneducated. Today the common man has had a teacher and the common man has an open book and printed manuscripts in his hand(s) and the common man doesn't read his book upside down as the little kids do as he leans by his parent's lap and runs over the writing as though he knew the meaning.
When Jesus started to do His deeds, ordinary and common men were ignorant, ill bred, ill mannered, and uninformed. Today the ordinary man is a learned man. What the average man wanted then was never thought about, much less thought out. They killed him, they imprisoned him, and they crucified him. They gathered him in what we Theologians call JOB LOTS, and let the lions of the desert loose at his throat. They turned him loose in the Coliseum and slew an army for a people's delectation or enjoyment. A King counted. A nobleman counted. A man-what about him? Ask that in the era that gave Christianity rise. And they would look at you with uneven eyebrows and say: " The common man, who is he? He wasn't around. One man didn't count. They didn't care if his heart broke, or if his hopes were crushed.
During the early years I recalled Russia and other foreign countries did not accept the United States way of life. They thought these United States were wayward. Well, guess what? We were soooo gooood that we called them Communist as if, we were the only game in the world. They thought we had a type of freedom that would destroy. A good example if they wanted a child to be a Doctor, they would train up that child in that atmosphere. Just like an athlete, You have two brothers that are boxers and are Heavyweight champions of the world, that were laid over from those train them up years.
What they were saying is that, "man too free would eventually end up doing that which is right in his own eyes." I thought about that and looked at our Scripture Proverbs 12: 15, " The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise." Proverbs 21: 2, " Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts." "Proverbs 16: 2". In the early years if some recalled, the foreigners were in trouble in this nation for disciplining their own children. Me, I was disciplined with a belt and became a better man for it, I think. I wondered, who were protesting against disciplining a child? Proverbs 29: 15, " The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame." Well, it seems the foreigners quoted our Scripture again, but, as always with different words.
Now we find if we do not discipline our kids, their young minds are so wayward that they are causing havoc, destruction, confusion and chaos in our streets and homes. Parents even call CPS/Police/Juvenile Detentions, "please pick up my child, I cannot do anything with him or her."
Previous paragraph stated: we have the Book now and Manuscripts. The Bible and the Ten Commandments. Well, man doing that what is right in his own eyes says, "We do not need the Bible," and the Ten Commandments should be removed."
As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view ... It is Moses and he is holding the "Ten Commandments!"
It seems man doing what is right in his own eyes have missed the freedom the Constitution referred to. Freedom of Speech, Assembly, Religion, and Press under God and the Ten Commandment means: those freedoms you have as long as your brother would not be hurt. It then become, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. We have missed it. All cultures can come with the freedom they brought with them when they are supposed to become acclimated in our freedoms. You can worship your god, but first, you are going to give Jesus our Lord and Savior His due first and foremost. Now it seems, I am going to sue you because I have my own, what happened??
You can say what you want about a man, but do not bear false witness and say it in love. You can assemble, but assemble in love, etc. Our writers of the Constitution knew they could not be perfect enough for the laws they were writing. That is why they used God and the Ten Commandments. On CNN, A lady stated, "according to our Constitution, he can't be our President." The Congress lady stated: "Shhh! The court," she whispered into the lady's ear. Did the foreigners see this coming and did not want a part of this? We do not know. One thing for sure, God is in man working through man to get to man.
Satan also is in man working through man to get to man.
As in the early Biblical times when man turned his face from God, God also turned His face on them. With continued ignorance of producing evilness under God's umbrella and in His humanity, God has been known to allow the "Dumb, to confound the wise." Believe what you wish, God does not compromise with sin. Either you are or either you are not. There is no gray area. This is one profession you cannot practice. You do not practice being a Christian, we do. It is what you do and regardless what anyone says, you do for others, why? As Christ did and is still doing with us and for us and towards us. The Saints always say, Grace and Peace. Grace is the goodwill of God towards us and Peace, is the sweet evidence of that Grace. CR
