After a very long hiatus, Whitney Houston has returned to the music industry, and I say, "Welcome back, Whitney!" Showing just how much she is "America's Princess", Whitney has blew the ratings off the chart as her newly released album hit number one in sales. This happening during the first week of her album release.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Whitney received the label of being "The Voice" by Oprah. Personally, I agree. Whitney Houston's voice had been a prominent one during her 'better days'. Strong, and full of passion, Whitney's voice has soothed many broken hearts, helped plenty dance like there's no tomorrow, and kept our spirituality on board.
But, the main reason why I agree with Whitney Houston being "The Voice", is because of the drama her life has suffered. While telling all to Oprah, Whitney released very personal information about her life with Bobby Brown. Releasing private information about doing drugs and the abuse suffered by Bobby, Whitney showed us how much a person can take on when trying to be a good spouse. I say that if anyone has been through as much as Whitney has been through, they definitely have a story to tell. Whitney did just that as she ranked number one on several pop charts, with hits like "Heartbreak Hotel"; "The Greatest Love of All", and "How Will I Know".
Whitney's music always depicted the troubles in her life, but little did America know that it wasn't entirely her 'fault'. I say this because as Whitney shared all with Oprah, I gained a new insight on what she really had to go through; she "did drugs" [with] Bobby Brown because she was being a "good/loyal wife". I may not agree with sacrificing my happiness and health for someone, but I almost understand it from Whitney's point of view. That is still not stating that I would have done what she did. She also admitted that Bobby hadn't physically abused her, but emotionally was definitely the weapon of choice; she did admit that Bobby spat in her face. Disgusting, right? I mean, how bad could it be for a person to belittle you by spitting in your face? Very bad.
But, after all the drama, Whitney has turned the other cheek for the last time (hopefully), and has picked her spirits up to return to America's music world. Her debut single, "I Look To You" is making waves, and gives Whitney lovers the quench they've been thirsting for. So, again, I say "Welcome Back, Whitney!"

Many people want to judge both sides. Good or bad she stood the test of time. I pray for the healing of both and that in the end they can at least be friends. Remember they have kids together, they still need to be civil towards each other.
In addition, she was faithful. Most women these days can't stay four months without throwing in towel. I proud that God sustain her through it all. Remember also, it takes two to tango.
Thanks for the info, Ronyae. My very most favorite thing Whitney ever did was the movie 'The Preacher's Wife'. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It is a remake of an older movie and is in my top 10 favorite movies. I watch it a couple times a year.
Nice job Ronyae! I enjoy your style :-) She is quite a talent and thank God she came through but I have to disagree with the idea that she did drugs just to be a good wife. Sorry girl, but she is responsible for her choices, not that she didn't have it rough with Bobby, don't get me wrong, but she new what he was about before she married him. That's the problem with the world it's always someone elses fault. Just my humble opinion :-) Hugs, T
Wonderful article about a beautiful personality. Whitney is one of my favorites. And you're right, she deserves to at the top. Thanks for sharing, Ronyae.
