In business some contracts or agreements falter due to a misunderstanding of some of the basics between the parties. The seven checks below should help to eliminate most of the common failings that would otherwize stop business from progressing: -

/ Firstly we should check that we are happy that we have established a mutually acceptable basis for both parties to do business, and that it is possible that we can progress into the future together.

/ If that is clearly so we can progress to the all-important mutual respect and trust. Which should be evident and clearly set in place between the parties. It is interesting to note that the only place that commitment ever comes before trust is in the dictionary!

/ We can then progress to find out and fully understand as to what is it that we should or will be changing?

/ Then please ask yourself, find out and question the customer as to why these changes should be made in the first place, and just what problems, issues or concerns are behind it all and that will drive the need forward and to conclusion?

/ The process and methods to use can then be discussed and agreed, so we know how best we can and should go about progressing and implementing this?

/ Just how many of the resources available to all concerned should be allocated to this project? This will give us what we need to know and indicate the level of business that we should be doing together in the future.

/ Lastly on which date will both parties start this agreement and commence working together?
