Sometimes their may be problems in our relationship and we don't even notice. A little more bickering, pushing the other away emotionally, spending more time away from home and just an overall sense of frustration.

You may not even be certain what is bothering you or your partner. Life can come at us fast and when too many things pile up they can spill over into other areas of our lives.

Answer the following questions to yourself to see if you may be having problems in your relationship that you may have been unaware of. Remember, no one else will know your answers so it is imperative that you be completely honest to truly begin to separate and evaluate your feelings.

Do you find yourself becoming irritated by the very things you used to find so charming about your partner like their singing in the shower or commenting during a movie?

Has your partner made any comments about your lack of attention to their needs or made any mention of you seeming to be distant or withdrawn?

Has their been anything of significance happen in your life that seems to be causing the same problems within this as well as every relationship you're involved in?

Do you feel the same attraction and passion as you did when you first became involved or do you find yourself unhappy and becoming more so every day?

Are you noticing any feelings of resentment towards your partner that seems unwarranted?

Do you find yourself initiating disagreements and arguments over trivial matters without provocation and little or no concern for their feelings?

Have you made verbal suggestions that your partner be the one to break things off with you during an argument? Such as, "If you don't like ____, why don't you just leave me"?

Do you intentionally push your partner's buttons in an effort to get them to be the ones to break things off in the relationship?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you may be heading towards a breakup or divorce whether you are conscious of it or not.

Now would be a good time to take some time for yourself, drive out to the lake, the park or your favorite, get alone and think spot and carefully review your answers and most important, your reasons.

It's not uncommon to have troubles in a relationship, especially a long term one such as in a marriage but it is important to step back and look at the how and why to see if it's something that is completely one sided and what actions you want to take whether that be freeing yourself from the relationship or working together to repair it.

There may be underlying causes for your anguish such as workplace problems, money troubles or even more substantial troubles and after identifying the real problems and separating them from your relationship you can often times see more clearly if it's an issue the two of you can work though and tackle together or whether it is directly stemmed from the other and the only clear path of resolution is separating and moving on with your life.
