Candle making recipes vary from the simple basics of wax and wicks, to wax, wicks, hardeners, dyes, oils and much more. Candle making in and of itself is a fairly inexpensive hobby to learn and enjoy.
It can start out very cheaply as you learn the basics. However, after a while, your basic learning will be satisfied and you'll be yearning for more knowledge. At this point you will start exploring all the "advanced" aspects of making candles. Now your options for additives will start to grow.
To give you an idea of what your costs are of all the various additives that can go into candles, we made this simple list of candle making ingredients and the approximate prices of each. These are just ball park prices to be used in comparison to other ingredients and will make you aware of the expenses that are involved in this hobby.

While this list is not "all inclusive", it lists many of the possible additives that go into candle making and should give you a fairly accurate idea of what things to look for and what they cost.
