Uniting the world, this should be our utmost priority. Yes, imagine a united world where all people live in peace and harmony, a world where love rules over hate and injustice.

When I look at the world with all of its madness, I say to myself, as do so many others WHY, we are all members of the human family you wouldn't think so though the behavior in some of us is worst than the behavior in wild animals. Actually, animals are more civilized than many of these idiots out there.

Our technology can destroy us or save us, if we were to use our common sense we could benefit a great deal by applying our technology to improve the lives of all of humankind.

Our infrastructure is in a very crucial state. The crumbling of America is a true fact we refuse to cope with realistically.

We do not need more wars to fight we can turn our fighting machine (the military) into a working machine.

" The more we sweat in peace the less we bleed in war." ~ Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit

Imagine a working force dedicated to the rebuilding of our country and our world. When I served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam we had Navy Seabees (construction battalion) building bunkers, out-houses, and all construction jobs on the base.

Yes if we could train our military with picks and shovels instead of weapons, teach the young of the real heroes of this land those who built the land not destroyed it. Then perhaps we could get on the right track in restoring our land to the wholesome quality it once had.

"Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ John F Kennedy

" We cannot force peace onto a people. For peace is a feeling from within obtained through love for one another." ~Dave Tanguay

(Note from the author)

I know we are living in perilous times we are at war with a people who claim they are on God's side. They believe we as Americans are the great Satan and they are fighting a holy war against us.

I have fought in Vietnam and I can say this much any war anywhere in the world is not by any means holy. War should not be glorified by any means where ever there is lost of innocent lives there must be an intention to end all wars not prolong them.

Here in America with the media bringing us the latest reports on earthquakes, floods, and pestilence and of course the latest casualties in war. One can only wonder will there ever be peace here on earth. I believe if we try to bring out the love hidden inside of all of us we could see that day finally emerge. Dear God, I certainly do hope so!

"Listen to your enemy, for God is talking." Jewish proverb

hi david,

well, you still make great sense at 1:30 in the morning.

with 2 kids in the military, i pray for those in charge to realize that we have nothing to fight about if we have everything we need. 15 more days, and the little girl i took care of for all those years, will be starting out on her journey of discovery. a journey that will have me anxious and worried for the next 6 years! it won't be like high school!
i liked this article,
my best to you,
sue

David, this sounds like a testimony to me. It has Biblical truth all over it. Thanks for showing the Christ in you. Wouldn't it be beautiful if all were one? You are right, there is no Holy war, if anything it is an unholy war. (65 Co B 3rd Bat 19th Inf 24th Inf Div. Welcome Conrad. It seems what we fought for is now separating. Remember, we respected our leadership and expressed it outwardly. You and I both know God is not in this. When Chicago did not get the olympics, people clapped and praised god for the lost...???? You see I made it a small g.
