Peace, love and understanding these ideals, have been placed high on our agenda here in America through the years.

President Kennedy established the Peace Corps in the 60s this organization attracted many young idealistic students from all over the country. They were not promised big financial rewards or any sort of social significance.

They were informed they would be sent to live and work in underdeveloped countries with the people they were sent to help. The young people who took on the challenge of the Peace Corps deserve the respect of their fellow citizens.

For more information about the Peace Corps click here

Peace is a goal we as human beings have been struggling to obtain since the beginning of time. It is an innate drive from within, which leads us in search for a comfort in our soul.

For it, all begins with peace from within for there is a disturbance in our souls that comes from living in a troubled world. Yes if we want peace of mind, we must first have peace abroad as well as domestic tranquility.

Peace is more than the absence of war or other forms of hostility. For the business world can also be aggravating and nerve racking when we have responsibilities in the business community.

When we combine peace, love and understanding, we will find a mutual agreement. For with peace comes love and of course with love comes understanding.

Sometimes our vision can become distorted i.e. we can see the world rushing by us at an alarming rate. The trick to overcoming this visual barrier is to look beyond all the chaos and set your sights on a more pleasant atmosphere.

"Peace of mind is the outcome of a well nourished soul" Dave Tanguay

Yes, we all seek peace however, we may go to a football game and cheer, yell, holler, and go wild with enthusiasm. I suppose it's a release to just let go of our emotions.

Wikipedia encyclopedia provides a broad range of topics on peace, which can be viewed here.

Thanks for writing this David. The Peace Corps has been doing wonderful work for decades. I, for one, am happy President Kennedy had the vision to put this program in place. I only wish we would look to it more as we attempt to build a future that values peace, love & understanding more.

Thanks again David and blessings to you.

Nicely done. Peace is something that should start from within all of us, should be part of our psych. History shows it isn't, yet the Peace Corps and writers such as yourself are working to change that. Excellent article!
