I am not certain exactly where to start but being silent isn't helping and if I tell a story who is to know where I live and where to find me, so I'll begin with a simple question: what the hell is going on in American neighborhoods with drug dealing and squealing?

Steve Kovacs, do you simply think new/odd drugs exist only in the squalor hoods of the cities in the state of Ohio? This lady simply doesn't agree with that!!!

Last evening, while doing something simple in my yard at around 9:30 p.m., I heard a blood-curdling scream from a purported drug house that exists directly next door to my residence. I had no idea what it could be all about and certainly hoped it not necessary to call the law (I thought of it over and over) and after reading Steve's article about a drug called "Wet," I am certainly glad that I didn't call the law to investigate. They would have been dumbfounded if they ever would have possibly found "probable cause" to enter the residence even with blood-curdling screaming.

These kids, young people, old people . hells bells.people of all ages, living in the hood of the cities, and in very nice neighborhoods are into the very latest of fashionable and dangerous drugs. I can only imagine that someone wasn't boiking a cooked turkey but boiking a live animal as I heard a dog whimpering in the garage area of the home. Actually, I couldn't tell if the possible whimpering of the resident pit-bull might have been one of disgust or something else.

I might add that my history goes back a little further in the days of working in a juvenile justice center where hearings were held of teens actually performing acts of sex on their pets and dancing around them in G-strings ~ before the act, during and after, engaging in intimate kissing ~ all of this was being observed on video by a sicko who taped the acts and the tapes later discovered by parents.

Since there are no laws against animal bestiality in my state, only charges of animal cruelty were made; and hopefully, justice found against the sick person performing the acts and possible recovery.

Naturally, I am wondering if it takes any drug or a drug like "Wet" to have a sick mind to perform a peverted act and run naked. I am at a loss to sort it all out.

I don't want to get lost in that particular time of my life where such an event put me to bed in disgust for a weekend. I might add that a friend helped in a small way by stating that it was good that the sex act was NOT performed on a baby or a small child.

Now back to the originating cause of my anger. I am living in a constant state of "possible discovery" from either the city police who might use informants to solve something of the drug trafficking going on in my neighborhood or vice squad who await the perfect time to infiltrate.

I try to be patient as I know they are very busy and exhausted busting case after case but it is amazing how all this continues awaiting further investigation and, of course, probable cause.

I rest my case but am still very, very ANGRY.

Hi Suzy,   It was a tad shocking to see my name in your article and of course, drugs are everywhere.  However, some drugs in Ohio and in other areas nationwide are quite often concentrated in certain areas.  This is a fact nationwide.  Some drugs like "meth” as an example, is found in rural areas and many urban areas do not have a problem with it, however, that is changing.  We also have a mobile society where someone can buy a drug somewhere, hop in their car and be back in their “good neighborhood” in a few minutes.   In addition, people in good neighborhoods set up shop too!  I did not mean to convey that drugs are in bad neighborhoods only.

Wet is a drug that in my area is just about only, found in certain neighborhoods.  It just so happened that I was teaching about it at about the same time a friend told me about the infamous turkey incident.   Anyway, if I conveyed the message that I think drugs are only in bad neighborhoods near me, that certainly was not my intent.  There are traditional areas, nationwide, which have been riddled with drug dealing for years and people from good neighborhoods and semi-good neighborhoods travel to the usually bad neighborhoods to buy drugs there.  This also is a fact.  However, as a whole, drugs are and can be everywhere.  As far as your issues with those people in your neighborhood, which you and I have talked about before, I am dismayed to hear it’s still going on--I wish you the best with that and hope it gets taken care of soon.

My best,

Steve

Steve, thanks for commenting so extensively and being supportive. I understand what you are saying but the whole subject is an extremely sore one for me and guess I needed to vent more than anything and still be careful about what I say. I'll try to add more of a comment later but just wanted to apologize if you thought I was out of line but, as a rule, I generally write inspirationally not out of anger ~ sometimes that can be good too. I am also challenged with getting neighbors more involved by standing a little taller but they seem to not feel as strongly as I do because of living on top of it and scared of retaliation of any kind; and hey,  been there done that. We've already had one neighbor move, and I just may be the next. I would rather not cut my losses with property value at this particular time but will see what spring may bring ~ I love the area and I've given it my all. Blessings! Sue

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Paul, and I too had a time facing the realities of what faces our youth today. I, however, think that it helped me to not be so idealistic and more realistic, although, I would have loved to have gone a lifetime never knowing that such things existed ~ I am more prepared and stronger in dealing with what I am facing today. I'd like to think that things happen for a reason;  and I do so believe in many ways we are living a hell here on earth, but there are a lot of great young adults and juveniles out there and most likely a larger percentage than the evil. Blessings to you and yours. Suzy

Suzy,

I have learned a lot about drugs! legal and Illegal "wet or dry" or what ever the name or flavor of the day, is called!

My two brothers died of AIDS, however each had a 30 year run of doing every drug man made or prescribed at everyone’s cost! I learned everything I never wanted to know about this ! Drugs are everywhere! No matter the State you live in, nor stature of your mind or neighborhood or how far you think you may have been removed from it all. I live in Gods country, a rural area compared to most! My neighbors think they escaped City life or Suburban America, where drugs are plentiful in raising their children drug free or influenced free. News flash! Moms and Dads, there is Heroin, Cocaine, LSD and many other drugs easily accessed from the local High school here, that their children attend. In fact, it’s even worse here because the people would never mention the fact that their child had a drug problem "for awareness reasons for others" even if they knew it. Hush, hush, no one likes squealers and no one sane likes dealers! Have no doubt that the law knows what’s going on, right next door… Also,"50 percent of all Hospital emergency room visits in America are contributed to Medical Prescription drug abuse". Disturbing as it is to say, both Prescription and Illegal drugs are here to stay.

Also

People do not do drugs to have sex with animals, people that have sex with animals will most likely, also do drugs.

Your neighbors also know, if they mess with you the law will be coming in.

Eye's forward, thank you so much for your input and I am so sorry to hear that your brothers eventually died of Aids after their 30-year run with drugs ~ that is so sad and has left you with a lot of pain and sorrrow, but with knowledge that can be shared with the masses ~ there is no better place than sharing on a writing or poetry site. I imagine, people who live in rural areas don't have to put up with the trafficking of local drug houses but hopefully are aware that drugs are touching rural-community schools like you indicated. Our friends and families who live in the country are blessed in not having the trafficking, however ~ they just have to deal with the wild animals like raccoons and coyotes LoL!!! .

Thank you for your vote of confidence about the law coming in if they mess with me ~ they've been called a few times because of the inclination to want to take over the neighborhood and block driveways and sometimes, especially during holidays, they are going 24-7 ~ we all know that if they were refined in any way with manners, they wouldn't be dealing in drugs, eh?

Have a nice week! Suzy

Suzy, what an article! I know you simply were not putting down Steve Kovacs but were enraged with the situation in your neighborhood which has been ongoing for several months. I think you did a fine job of disagreeing with another writer without being that disagreeable and you do have a few varying points of interest going on in this article - I agree that drugs are simply anywhere and everywhere, wet or dry. I recall your sharing the animal cruelty incident and believe that the
steve's article about "having sex with a cooked turkey" may have triggered some unpleasant memories, especially in light of the situation you are experiencing night and day (24-7). I send encouragement your way in knowing that this too shall pass, and if it doesn't we can always get a gun and shoot them (just kidding here). (((((Love & Hugs))))) Richard (Ricardo)

p.s.  i admire a writer whois able to vent.

Richard, again thank you for taking the time to comment and understand.  I believe that many writers rant and write when angry and who is to judge otherwise LoL..Oh, I didn't remember that some people are perfect, judgmental and lay guilt trips. U R right on! Blessings! Suz
