If you are a woman and are interested in losing weight than take a second and ask yourself which of these two women you would rather be?
The first woman is a gym junky. The first woman will come to the gym at least four times and up to six times a week. She will come to the gym at least an hour each time, and she will spend the majority of her time doing nothing but cardio based training. Under no circumstances will she lift weights or do any kind of stretching exercises. The first women's workout schedule would typically consist of an hour on the treadmill, followed by a five minute cool down walk, and finish by consuming one of her three small meals for the day.
The second woman doesn't go to the gym as often as the first woman. The second woman gets to the gym between two to five times per week. She has a much more balanced workout. She will try to do interval cardio exercise two to three times a week, and she will do a lifting schedule. Although she will not do high amounts of weight, she will do moderate amounts. Plus, she will switch off between lifting less weight and more reps, with lifting more weight and fewer reps. She will do stretching exercises that will give her long lean sexy muscles in her core and legs. She will also eat a balanced diet that contains portions of protein and carbohydrates. She will eat many small portions throughout the day, and will not starve her body.
The two women represent the way that many women will train at the gym. Many women are afraid to weight train for fear that they will add bulk to their bodies. Yet, this fear of muscle causes them to adopt practices that will leave them lacking energy, and more susceptible to future weight gain. The first woman's workout and nutritional practices would drastically lower her metabolism. While in the short term she might have limited success with her diligence at the gym, if she didn't maintain the constant gym routine then she would have a hard time not putting on weight due to her lowered metabolism. The second woman with her lean muscle and healthy eating practice wouldn't have the same problems. Her metabolism would be raised, and she doesn't have to put the same amount of time in at the gym to get similar weight loss results. Plus, the second woman would have the much healthier lean sexy look. The lean sexy look has been proven to be more attractive to men in comparison to the extremely thin look.
In addition the second woman knows that a person is able to burn more calories if they have a good frame of lean muscle. Lean muscle requires large amounts of calories to create and maintain. Adding protein to a healthy diet is the best way to help your body create lean muscle. The second woman's nutritional plan would be sure to include a whey protein supplement; in order for her to get the maximum amount of protein in the most efficient manner.
When you are at the gym learn from the second woman's weight loss success and plan a healthier nutritional and workout program.
