Internet Marketing is one of the most powerful work from Home businesses that exist. Internet Marketing is also known as i-marketing, e-marketing, online marketing and web marketing. Internet Marketing means the marketinging of products or services over the Internet.

The internet has taken the world by storm. Consequently life is not the same as it used to be just a few years ago. People are now seeing everything with a new internet perspective, be it education, technology or business. The business world has especially benefited by the introduction of the internet. It has borrowed new ideas and techniques from the Internet to become hugely successful. And one of the techniques is marketing on the internet.

Marketing or Advertising, as it is popularly known, is the most effective technique for selling a product in present times. And now with the internet gaining universal acceptance, the idea of Internet Marketing is a bull's-eye shot. The question is why Internet Marketing? Internet Marketing is the right choice because when we go to websites, the Banner Advertisements, Text Advertisements and Advertisement by emails attract us. We do see it while browsing and if there is an interesting tag-line, we remember it and sometimes just out of curiosity or excitement, we try the product. This is "Mission Accomplished" for the Company advertising the product. Such is the power of Internet Marketing.

Internet Marketing is increasingly becoming crucial to the marketing strategy of every company. Internet Marketing is so important that if your products are not listed on the internet, you are not considered to be successful. Some of the things we must keep in mind while deciding a strategy for Internet Marketing are:-

The Consumer is King The consumers are not dull or ignorant human beings these days so we must show some respect for the consumer while developing a strategy for Internet Marketing otherwise the campaign will be a big flop.

A Quality Product When we think of Internet Marketing, you must market a product which is in high demand but not redilly available. You must be able to determine the needs and desires of your target audience. For example, if your audience wants to earn money, give them a Work from Home system and so on.

Striking features of Advertisement Another tool of Internet Marketing is that the Advertisement must instantly attract consumers. Especially the Banner Ads, they must have great colors, graphics and interesting Animation to compel the people to at least click on the Advertisement.

Short and Interesting Text This is the most important tool of Internet Marketing. The Text of the Advertisement should not be long. Consumers will not take time to read long text advertisement. It should be short, sweet and relevant to keep the reader reading product.

Internet Marketing is very inexpensive when compared to other forms of marketing. You are able to make one campaign and target a wide range of consumers all around the globe. With Internet Marketing, you can get results very quickly. Another thing to use is surveys to help you determine what consumers want. The author does a lot of work in the marketing on line field and has a website that addresses that very subject. At www.networkersguide.info you can get information on critical components that must be in place for your enterprise to be successful. Though internet marketing works very differently to online marketing but a marketeer should always consider the 4 P's (conventional) or 7 P's of marketing and focus on getting the right marketing mix. Internet marketing can reach millions of people with a click, but a marketeer has to be more sensible and shrewd in deciding whether the million people will be interested in his/ her offerings. Also what if the million people are interested, will he/ she be able to cope up with the demand??

Jim your exactly right. Marketing can never be one dimensional. As we work on our campaign everything has to com together and be in alignment. Thanks for your comment. By the way I'm still working on the million people problem.

Hi John. For your million people problem, I would like to draw your attention to the the simple Supply Demand fundamental. A business is only successful when there is an optimal match between supply and demand. Too less demand and high supply will lead to higher inventory stakes and too less supply and high demand will lead to opportunity loss. Consider an example where a new product marketing campaign is launched and the internet marketing creates a buzz in the wider market. But due to limited scope of supply chain of the firm the demand is not met.

I always believe that marketing campaigns should be properly targeted so that it is not lost in the vast community of web users. Mass production, mass marketing have always had their limitations. In sphere of online marketing, if the online campaign is not properly targetted people will always title such effort as a spam or outrightly reject it, thereby affecting the reputation in the long run.

Great article...but in regards to your SHORT advertisements advice, I assume you are referring to the method you use to get them to your website--because often times LONG sales letters outperform shorter ones.

Long sales letter versus short sales letter. This debate has valid arguments on both sides and there is only 1 way to answer it. That's right TEST Write a long sales letter and test it against a short sales letter. You will discover that depending on the niche and who is responding to your advertising (demographics) as to which one is most successful. John
