The camera captures the imagination with a record of the visual memory. Just by letting your thoughts wander, you can go to places that don't appear in the real world, do things that are really impossible and bring dreams closer to reality. But creative imagination without the right green screen software is destined to stay in the creators head, unseen by other people. Also known as chroma key editing, it can help you to produce some unbelievable illusions that can be enjoyed by many. A bride and groom in another world or a child in their favorite cartoon, there are no bounds to the possibilities. You could also place people in countries they have never been to, but with this simple technique, you can at least make it seem as though they where actually there.

To start the process, the subject is shot in front of a green/blue screen. The software then removes this color from the photograph and places another picture in the vacant space. This technique has been common on television for the presentation of weather reports. The weather person stands in front of the blue screen, while the maps and graphic animation plays behind.

So, time to set up the picture. Place the chosen screen in position, in a studio gives you control of the weather but lighting without problems is more difficult, outside in natural light gives good even light distribution. Do be sure there are no shadows on the screen.Make sure the subject isn't wearing anything of the same color as the screen, or they may have invisible parts! When you have set and taken the shots you are happy with it's time for the creative magic.

Don't worry the software is really easy and so user friendly, you'll be an expert in no time.

It's now time to bring your illusion to reality. The possibilities are endless and once you become confident and see the amazing results that you can create very easily, your shots will be transformed.

Are you a digital camera professional, but you find yourself running out of good creative thoughts? Or would you like to become a true master of the green screen photography skills? Great Article. I would say that having a green screen is very important for any professional. Such effects you could do with a green screen can be remarkable. In fact you don't really need green screen, you could use blue, or any other color, but green is recommended since it's the color most far from any human skin color or clothes, since no one is dressed in that kind of green these days.
