I'm not really going to throw pies at BNP (British Nationalist Party) members and
nor do I plan on encouraging you. Remember the saying your mother told you: "don't get down to their level"? I wish to remind you of the incident involving Lord Mandelson, the Business Minister and green custard (mm tasty various blends of green custard). What happened was a woman threw green custard over Lord Mandelson face as he got out of a government car in London. We all found it hilariously funny and shoved it on YouTube and watched it 31,000 times (
http://tinyurl.com/yz3dfac ). But the problem is people don't know or care what the point of the whole thing was. It was in-fact a crazy woman protesting against the expansion of air travel. But very few people are bothered I bet you have almost forgotten the incident already. Thus, there would be little point in throwing a pie at BNP Members. What I am going to do with this article is have a little rant about the BNP and give some commentary on the recent announcement that the BNP will consider allowing non white people to join their party.
But before we get into all of that I want to give you a bit of background. The British Nationalist party (BNP) or, as I like to refer to them, "Brown No Poles" (BNP) due to their policies on immigration. They are so far to the political right that the Hubble Telescope is still trying to locate them for the benefit of everyone leaning slightly to the left. They are certainly racist and some would even call them fascists. Here is a few examples of their policies as quoted from their website:
- IMMIGRATION time to say ENOUGH!
- EUROPE back to British independence!
- LAW AND ORDER- crack down on crime!
- ECCOMONY British workers first!
- FOREIGN AID time to spend on our own people!
- PENSIONERS pensioners before asylum seekers!
Now, I am not totally opposed to all of this. It is true that people come to this country and take our benefit system for a ride and we have a high rate of immigration. But do you really think that cutting Britain off from the rest of the world is a good idea? I don't but I do think a severely toned down version of what they want can be implemented. For example instead of putting a stop to immigration we are dependant on workers form the elsewhere we should put laws in place that prevent people working for only one year (minimum requirement) and then claming benefits. So, some of what they say has logic but they go too far. Far too far.
To summarise and take a step down in tone here is a popular joke:
" I've just been on the phone to Nick Griffin after the egging outside parliament. He was literally fuming. They didn't separate the whites first."
As you can see they are a pretty racist lot. So when faced by a court challenge from Equality and Human Rights Commission over non-compliance with the Race Relations Act, 1976. They decided that they would allow non- white members to join their party. Oh, wow how wonderful! Aren't they a lovely lot that want to do as they are told.
Well, the reality is far from that. They have not yet appointed a non white member and I doubt they will. It can see that there will be one of three things happening:
- No-one "non-white" will want to join a party to campaign against themselves
- They will appoint one crazy person to campaign against his race
- The party will be swarmed with people wanting to join to chance the direction of the party and influence their policies.
I have organised them in order of, what I think, is most probable. The first seems highly probable. The second is possible; but I don't know who would try to prevent people of their own race coming to Britain and discriminate against them. If that happened I would question what morons get into parliament and would see the Mad Cow Girl and Monster Raving Looney Party more qualified to get seats in parliament. A "non-white" person wanting to join the BNP is like the Monster Raving Looney Party passing a law against joke parties. I can only think of one thing more ridiculous than that (a million times more actually) would be a Rabbi joining the Nazi party on anti-discriminations grounds. It just would not happen outside of a public propaganda drive. The third one would not happen either as it is party members who chose who gets to join.
So, really all I can see the forced policy shift achieving is a bureaucratic tick a box. The BNP will not chance. They will always be foul racists.
