Learning how to increase your energy and daily motivation has become an ever increasing subject these days. I believe this is directly connected with the economy. It is hard to stay motivated when you need it the most, and when things seem glib or futile.

Meditation can help and also create a better understanding of 'Why' your energy is on the decline. Awareness of your problem, is probably the first step to solving it.

Find some place where you can relax and feel free from the outside world. Get comfortable, forget about your worries no matter what they are. "Time will tell and heals all wounds". This is just a way of reminding us that life will go on no matter what. Think of things that make you happy. Then think of things that you once thought were all so important and now seem kind of silly.

The best examples are; things when you were younger, like fashion. At one time you probably thought you, HAD, to look a certain way. When you look at some of your old pictures, it can sometimes be hard not to laugh at yourself.

Fad activities or phases you went through as a teenager are a good ones too. I can remember a time when rollerskating was very popular. If I went out and asked some people if they wanted to go rollerskating they would think me crazy or mistaken for rollerblading. IMO, there's very little difference, but then again I don't roller blade. These are just examples off the top of my head. The point is, it's much easier to objective with yourself while your smiling.

Once you've given yourself a good laugh and built up a little perspective, start asking yourself some questions as objectively as possible, about what's going on and what you would like to see changed. Try to look at yourself as if you are someone else. Identify the problems that plague you the most and start brainstorming on solutions.

Keep in mind that nothing is as it seems and things WILL change, and will change even FASTER if you make it happen. Some of the things I like to do to increase energy and give me a real reason to stay motivated is to set positive goals.

Setting goals is a great way to stay on top of what needs to be done and provides a reason to get out my *FUNK*. The best way to do this is to create goals out of things you enjoy. Then center these 'joyful' goals around not so joyful necessities. It's a lot like a reward system which endorses positive behavior and discourages neglect.

Often times just getting started is the only real challenge. Once you begin its much, much easier to keep going. ENERGY CREATES ENERGY!

During your meditation and relaxation try and think of things you always wanted to do but never got around to. If you accomplish this, just one time, it will motivate you and continue to get easier and easier each time. You'll start to build more and more reasons to get going and keep it going.

Another thing to keep in mind is your diet. Sometimes, the foods we choose can contribute to our lack of energy & motivation. These can be change easily enough, the hard part is identifying them. Spicy foods tend to be grounding. A little research can go a long way.

As mentioned above the hardest part is to get started. Once you develop a routine and keep at it, its all downhill from that point forward.:o)

Good luck and godsblessya.
