Thanks to their sheer versatility, panini sandwiches recipes make
wonderful packed lunches that don't ever have to get boring, and can
satisfy both your cravings for a tasty, delicious lunch or snack while
still meeting your daily nutritive requirements. They're easy to put
together and eat, too, so they're terrific to eat on the go or even in
front of your workstation or PC if you don't have the time to take much
of a break.
Panini are really easy to prepare, so they're just
perfect for those hectic mornings when you're racing around trying to
put your stuff together before you run out the door for work. A panino
can be put together in a flash and it can be as simple or as fancy as
you like or as you can afford to make it given your constraints. For
instance, you can just slap together a couple of pre-made fillings
between some bread slices, like sliced ham and, say, Caesar salad
dressing, a slice or two of cheese, and maybe some vegetables, and heat
it up when it comes time to eat it in the office – nice and quick and
simple. If you have a little more time, you can try to embellish that a
little bit, with some basil leaves or a few other spices. It's all up
to you, what you've got in your kitchen, and how inventive you want to
get.
Panini as packed lunches can also be really healthy. Again,
you can always dictate what you put inside your panino, but making it
the basis of a really healthy lunch can be a snap. You can easily
select lean healthy meat such as ham, chicken or fish, and combine that
with fresh vegetables. Leafy greens like lettuce or spinach; some diced
cucumber or zucchini; and a few sliced and diced carrots or onions can
really ramp up the health value of your sandwich. And the best part is
that it doesn't take too much time to get your veggies ready. Preparing
vegetables is a simple matter, it just takes a few slices before you
assemble your sandwich and wrap it or stuff it in a panini press if you
like. Or you can even prepare these veggies the day or the night before
to save you even more time and stress in the morning, before you leave
for work.
A panino, therefore, can be the best option for
someone who wants to eat a healthy, tasty meal, but might not have too
much time to either put it together or even eat it later in the day.
