Who doesn't love a good heaping spoonful of jam or jelly smothered onto a piece of toast or bread? We all love it rather it is grape, blueberry or blackberry it is hard to beat the wonderful taste that it provides us as well as fills our belly.

There are many types of berries such as blackberries, blueberries, huckleberries, raspberries and more but can you really grow them in your back yard? The answer is yes, you can!

Berries of all kinds grow in a well saturated soil and need a balance of sun and shade to thrive and grow to their potential. Blueberries for instance grow in a variety of places but thrive well in the northern part of the country such as Canada and Maine but can also grow well in North Carolina and West Virginia just to name a few. These berries can be harvested from April to May depending on the location. Blueberries can be used for many things ranging from blueberry muffins, pies, jams, jellies and cereals.

Grapes are another type of berry that grows on a vine which we all know thrives well once it gets started. Grapes need a vine to run on and well saturated soil to live in. Grapes can be used in pickles, wine, to eat, jams and jellies.

There are a variety of berries that can be found in the spring, most garden centers and online sites will provide you with a list of zones that they grow well in. Once your order has been placed your berry bushes will be shipped straight to your home so you can get busy planting your berry bushes right away.

Think of all the things you can do once the harvest gets started!
