Some lessons are hard and some lessons are easy, its what you do with the experience that counts.

Unfortunately for me most of my lessons were learned the hard way. It seems that I had a problem with my hearing. I was never sure that what you said was what I heard because it seems like most of the time I missed the mark, whatever the mark was at time.

Then one day I woke up after being hit by a two x four. I found myself surrounded with people who had the same type of dysfunctional life that I had and were successful in turning their lives around. They were kind and loving and accepted me just the way I was. They gave me directions on how to turn my life around so that I would not be in turmoil and feeling lost all the time.

I was so beat up at that point in my life that it was easy to accept that I needed to do a lot of work on myself with their help and the help of the Lord my life has changed and continues to change daily.

It was hard to face myself but I knew that if I wanted freedom from all kinds of bondages that I was going to have to do it. I've learned how to look at life from a whole new perspective and for that I shall forever be grateful. Today I can hear when people talk to me and my life has become very simple and most of the time pretty stress free. I have been blessed.

The turning point for me was when I started to believe the Bible passage, John 3:16-17 was true, and I asked the Lord to come into my life. If you're life is a mess and you think there is no way out try reading the above passage and hopefully you will give your ALL (good & bad, thoughts and actions) to Him and let Him lead you into a life filled with peace and joy.

Hi, Linda. What an inspirational message. I discovered I needed hearing aids back in 1980. Because of pride, I did not get fitted for any until 17 years later. Boy, I sure am glad now that I finally did. How amazing to hear simple things like the rain, or the refrigerator motor. When I received my hearing aids, my cats met me at the door and meowed. How sweet their little mewos were to me. I now realize how blessed I am. Thanks for your wonderful article.

What? When people quote from a Bible I find for some odd reason that I'm having a great deal of trouble hearing what you have to say!

When I started to change the way I thought and acted I started to hear what people had been saying to me. Thank you for reading and commenting.
