There really is so much information out there regarding muscle
building. It can sometimes be difficult to know where to start if your
just a beginner, well i've got 5 points which will kickstart you to
achieving your ultimate physique.
1) Train With Weights and Focus On Compound, Free Weight Movements.
If you want to make solid, noteworthy gains in muscle size and
strength, you absolutely must train with free weights and focus on
basic, compound exercises. Compound exercises are will allow you to
handle the most weight and will work multiple muscle fibres. Examples
of these lifts are the squat, deadlift, bench press, chin up, barbell
row, overhead press, dip and lunge.
2) Avoid Overtraining.
Over training is the biggest thing you wanna avoid when it comes to
gaining muscle and get ripped. People get the impression that doing
more is going to help them but it is actually the opposite because if
you train too hard you can do a lot damage to yourself. The more time
you spend in the gym the farther you are away from your goals because
your muscle can only repair when your away from the gym. For instance
when you are resting and eating.
3) Eat More Frequently.
Another key area where people fail miserably on the muscle building
mission is not providing enough nutrients. Being in the gym is only
half of the task because if you don't provide proper nutrition your
muscle growth just won't happen. You should be eating 5 or 6 times a
day with 2-3 hours gaps. These meals must consist of high protein and
complex carbs.
4)Increase Your Water Intake.
A really effective way to maximise muscle gains is to drink plenty of
water and keep hydrated. Muscles are made up over 70% water! Research
has shown that merely a 3-4% drop in your body's water levels can
impact muscle contractions by 10-20%!
5)Be Consistent.
Consistentency is key. Simple. For those who do not implement and stick
to programs and daily routines simply will not succeed. Simply knowing
what to do is not enough. You could be an expert in this area but if
you don't apply you'll never achieve what you set out to do. That goes
for anything you try! Sure you may think that a couple of extra reps
and small proteins won't make a difference there and then, but over
time if you stick to it you will reap the rewards.
