It's difficult to know when you are expected to come bearing gifts. This may not make you prince charming, but it's a start.

Have you ever been "that person" that shows up to a party without an offering? If you're like me, you didn't even consider an offering until you arrive at the party. Why do we do this?

Please don't think of manners as a law to rage against. Politeness and consideration go a long way to make a host feel good (and have another party.) One of the best ways to make the hostess feel special is to offer a gift. Some people like to bring alcohol, but if things get out of control, you wouldn't want to be the bottle that broke the camel's. The next great gift is great coffee. I would suggest organic, Fair Trade coffees, such as those from Nectar of Life Coffee. They have a amazing selection on-line with every roast level imaginable. Making an exotic fruit drink from locally grown produce is always a smart! If you're still in considering finding the perfect beverage gift, you may want to consider fruit teas. Almost anyone loves fruit teas. There are so many flavors out there, that the skies the limit. Currently I'm on a blueberry tea kick.

Obviously, we've covered hooch, so lets move on to food. The healthy choice is a vegetable meddle with a creamy dipping sauce. Lay out the snack on a nice, plastic serving dish. These are readily obtained at thrift stores, chain retail outlets, and antique stores. Keep your eye out for deals on serving dishes at retailers and even yard sales. Enclose a card with a gracious "thank you for the party".

Perhaps food and drink aren't what you have in mind. In that case you could bring flowers or a coffee gift basket. It is always best to avoid hard alcohol, pictures of yourselves (unless you are attending a family event), and work related items. Finally, don't forget to enclose your card! You do want to be noticed for your fabulous gift, don't you?

Mayber you're still finding it difficult to think of a gift, then go check out the coffee gifts from Nectar of Life Coffee. Nectar of Life is my favorite coffee roaster and they have the best Fair Trade coffee.
