Not everyone can brag about the perfect lawn. There's most always a trouble spot somewhere, it may be a shady area where nothing seems to grow well, it may be a patch of soil that's too acidic, but if your lawn suffers from damp marshy area, or you have a pond, creek, or river on your property you really should check out www.wetlandsupplies.com .

Many landowners have property that adjoins a waterway of one form or another, and many of those waterways are bordered with nothing more than a sterile grassy lawn that provides very little benefit to the environment, and almost no benefit to wildlife. That nice grassy knoll tapering down to the river's edge may be just fine for some people, but if you really look at it, isn't it just a bit boring. Why not mix in some wetlands plants that are native to your area and to spruce up the area and make a truly unique landscape.

Plants are essential for healthy wetlands, whether used to prevent erosion, or as food for wildlife, plants are a must-have for your wet area. At the rate wetlands are being lost due to development and erosion each year, every little bit helps to preserve the richness of the wetland environment. Such animals as frogs, turtles, fish, ducks and geese are the first things people think of when wetlands are mentioned. However, other wildlife such as raccoons, waterfowl, deer, and even foxes and bobcats benefit from fertile wetlands.

There's nothing more beautiful than the graceful dance of iridescent dragonflies hovering over the delicate white blossoms of water plantain as the ripples gently wash to shore. How much more satisfaction could a person get from their landscaping endeavors than the knowledge that not only have they made their backyard haven beautiful, but they have aided the environment too.

This nursery has a huge selection of common and rare wild plants, some of which are even edible.
