Don't minimize the color of your home office walls. Color has a powerful effect on mood, productivity and creativity. So to maximize the time you spend in your home office, spend some time determining what color is best for your walls using these guidelines.

Without a doubt, color has a major affect on mood and energy.

2 main considerations must be applied when choosing the best wall color for your home office.

1. Your personality:

If you are a sluggish riser, choose a yellow or orange for the base color. If you are the type that hits the floor running in the morning? A soft smooth blue would be a good choice for you...to help calm things down a bit and help you focus. If your day is filled with buzzing phones, fax machines humming and burning PC's then a pale green is the perfect starting color that home business hub.

2. Your Furniture:

Furniture more times than not determines your room's design style. Dark furniture such as cherry and mahogany is a more formal/traditional and would be best matched with a warm yellow or deep orange

Light woods like birch or maple are more contemporary and casual. Variations of green and blue work well with this type of furniture.

Once the basic home office room color decision is made, swagger on down to your local paint supplier to gather up color samples.

While browsing, keep the following principles in mind.

If your room is tight on space, avoid adding too much color or contrast to the room. Use light colored furniture with light colored walls.

If the home office space seems too big, bring in that dark furniture with a complementary dark wall.

Light will push the walls back, while dark tones will pull them in.

Choose several samples of several colors and paste them around your home office to observe how the color changes as the light in the room changes throughout the day.

In the evening, if you are prone to working at night, try different lamp positions against your samples to determine how the artificial light affects your color choices.

Good wall color can inspire, energize and make the time you spend in your office more productive.

After you have applied the perfect home office wall color to your work space, consider adding these accents to keep the your business environment up beat.

Paint a large space on your wall with a combination of magnetic and chalkboard paint. The larger the better for those brain storming sessions.

Display your achievements, diplomas, family photo's or any other framed inspirations by hanging them in groupings in a focal point posiiton.

Stencil an inspirational quote or purchase removable arrangements to be a constant reminder of the things you love and the motivation and goals inspiring your business success.
