A day to give Thanks - for all our blessings
The turkey is stuffed - with scrumptious tasting dressings
Friends we invite over to join us on this special day
As we sit around the table - we will bow our heads and pray
Lord, we thank you for your guidance throughout the year
For you've shown us the way - your love is sincere
Let us remember this day - when our nation - like no other
All began to flourish - with the help of our Indian brother
As a nation we are united - by the grace of his hand
To all nations America became known - as the Promised Land
We move forward from this day - into a new tomorrow
All of us together - with his strength - we will ask to borrow
Thanksgiving Day we celebrate as a nation bound together
In rain snow and sleet - through all kinds of weather
As a people throughout the world - we all come united
For our constitution proclaims - that we are all invited
