Bring the great outdoors into your home with fishing decor. Whether you’re an avid fisherman, or just want to add the cozy feeling of a lodge to your decorating scheme, fishing decor is fun and appealing.

A variety of coordinated fishing decor accessories are available for every area of your home, from the den to the dining room. Picture frames, shadow boxes, figurines and wall plaques are just the beginning of the fishing decor items you can decorate your home with.

In the living room plush rugs with a fishing theme, decorative fishing pails and nets, fish themed votive and candle holders, and rustic fishing signs are great choices. Fishing books can be lined up on the mantle, next to a picture of your most recent big catch or a cute figurine, such as a little boy fishing with his father.

Shadow boxes also make great fishing decor. You can find them already decorated with a fishing theme, but it’s also easy to create your own. Fill a shadowbox with vintage lures, flies, bobbers, photographs and miniatures. They also make great gifts for the fishing enthusiast in your life.

In a den or workshop fishing themed pole holders, hat racks and coat hangers are the perfect fishing decor. Don’t forget to add a sturdy rug and a “gone fishing" sign or plaque to complete the look, and a fishy shelf or two for holding supplies.

Even the bedroom and bathroom can be great places to add a little fishing decor. Miniature fishing boats, paintings and carvings add atmosphere to the bedroom. Fishing shower curtains, robe and towel hooks, cabinet pulls and even soap holders make it easy use fishing decor in the bathroom.

There’s really no limit to where you can use a little fishing decor. It blends well with country, classic, woodsy and modern looks. Let your imagination run wild and you’ll easily find many ways to use fishing decor.
