In our fast pace society where stress is at every corner, it
is so easy and common to feel disconnected, lost, confuse or overwhelmed. Life
is demanding. We constantly have to perform, produce, compete and jungle
multiple tasks at once. When we finally slow down and take a break, we go for a
week end or a few weeks. While this is nice and relaxing sometimes, our body,
mind and soul need more.
Wellness retreats are often associated with spa, health,
massage and personal pampering.
In fact they come in all shape and style and are available
for all budgets.
Wellness seems to come in three different forms: Body Mind and Spirit. Often wellness
is a holistic approach to time out to take care of your whole being. No
matter what you focus on. For example:
- For some it could be a silent
retreat in a very peaceful, paradise like environment to help clarify a
situation or just rest the mind. This will also help the body relax, feel
connected and could help make decision or sorted out confuse situation.
- For others sleeping in until 10am
or later, have coffee in bed and no agenda. is just what the body an d mind
needs to get a break from a stressful life.
- For a family where everyone is
always busy on the go, it could be a time and place to improve the quality and
the connection between family members.
- It could also be a time where you
become adventurous on the inside and do or experience something you always
wanted but never took the time to do: building a canoe, a drum, go on a week hike in the wilderness, take a
Reiki class or a personal growth development seminar.
As you can see, there are many options available. What you
need to keep in mind is your needs, your expectations and the outcome you would
like to have when you are choosing your wellness retreat.
This is a time and a place where you can take care of
your needs and rejuvenate yourself. Whatever that means to you. It is a time out
of your routine. In many ways it is a wellness vacation. Get a break from your routine you and take care of your body, mind and
soul. A moment where you reconnect and slow down. A vacation with an inward
adventure.
