Okay so I thought I pretty much knew about all the new cool little things that had happened with the iPod lately. However, I have to say I was unaware that there was a new gaming world developing around the iPod. I knew there were games on my iPod, though I have to say I am normally walking when I am listening to it so I don't really play them, however I was not aware that there are a bunch of games you can now download from the internet.
As there is free stuff floating around on the internet for everything else, it is no surprise that there are also free iPod games that you can download. I have been looking at them and they range from quiz games to murder mysteries in which you are supposed to catch the killer. I don't know why I thought that iPods were mostly for music on the go, apparently now they are little TV's, stereos, and gaming units, all in one.
I am not quite sure how big of a deal the iPod gaming thing is and am therefore not sure how in demand the free iPod games are. However, the few websites that I read talk about the world of iPod gaming as if it is up and coming and gearing up to be as big as the world of Playstation and Xbox. Some sites to try are www.ipodgames.com, as well as www.ipodarcade.com. Of course itunes.com now has games, but they are not free. There are a lot of sites saying they have games, but they don't follow through once you're actually on the site.
It seems as if our society is becoming more and more technology obsessed, with companies battling each other to be the one to come out with the next big expensive piece of technology, that everyone will run out and buy, and that all the kids will beg for their parents for Christmas. For some reason I am not really sure this is a good thing.

I don't like how Apple charges $5 per game, I think they make enough money from just selling iPods. They even make gold plated iPods. Insane! Respond to this comment

Finally.I am so sick of Apple charging for everything to do with the Ipod.I have got the 6th gen...and if I want to do anything other than the basic movie or video i have to pay. They charge for the wall charger, the connector to the TV(and the morons rigged it so you can't use an orrdinary rca cable). The are making money off every aspect of the Ipod.Ok,I understand them charging for mp3s and videos. Those are copyrighted.Only simple minded people would actually buy mp3s becuz u can find any song on the internet....for free.Gold Plated Ipods are for the uber-rich.The average millionare wants an Ipod, but they don't want one that everone has. They want to be a step up,thats why they have gold plated Ipods so that those filthy rich ppl can be a step higher than the average Ipod user. The same logic applies to watches. Those $50,000 watches dont tell time any better than the average watch, its for those snotting money, excuse the expression.Apple knows it can charge for everything simply because the Ipod is unrivaled. The Zune is worthless, not the player itself, just the name isnt good enough.Everyone wants an Ipod so they think they can charge for whatever they want.Thats life.....
