Quite some time ago I met a woman online, who told me that her job was that of an online bingo chat host. She told me that she worked from the comfort of her home, on her computer, which immediately grabbed my attention!
I asked my online chat friend how she obtained a position as a bingo chat manager, she told me that a friend of hers had the same job and she found out about it much the same way I just did. She told me that to get her job as an online bingo chat host she put her resume up at cmoftheyear.com and then started emailing online bingo m anagers.
Following her advice, I went in search of bingo managers, my first google query was ‘bingo job’ that didn’t get me very far however, because every bingo site under the sun popped right up in the search window, being fairly new to this, I still had basically no idea whom to mail.
My next idea was to narrow my search down to results that contained all of the keywords ‘ chat games, chat host, online bingo’. Now I was getting somewhere! I honestly had never at this point played a single game of bingo online in my life. I had however played fairly often at my local bingo hall, so I did have an understanding of how the game worked.
I visited several of the bingo sites searching out links for job openings and who to contact, before I knew it I had compiled quite a decent sized list of new contacts. Most of the sites asked that I submit my experience with a cover letter. Being a natural sales person, I knew that emphasizing the fact that I did not actually have any experience at all as an online bingo CM wouldn’t get me real far.
Instead of dwelling on the experience I lacked, I wrote a simple email detailing the experience I did have. I have a pretty decent typing speed I can navigate multiple windows online with ease. I can carry a conversation online fluidly, I can take control of a situation and keep it from getting out of hand, I am personable, cheerful and outgoing, etc. If I thought it might pertain to the job I listed it.
Within a week or two I had some replies and phone interviews, by the end of the month I’d had a couple offers, and before I knew it, I had a job that paid by the hour, from my dining room, managing an online bingo chat room!

Really the best advice I can give you is to get into the search engines, and get your name out there :) Build a resume, send it to all of the bingo sites you can find that offer chat games :)

I don't really suggest emphasizing your past bingo play, as silly as it sounds some rooms shy away from hiring players, especially current players. Also, cmofthemonth is definitely an authority and great place to learn about current job openings, but it's also where you'll find the most competition. Respond to this comment
Hi Cathy, I too am in a situation were I want to be a cm.
I have applied for jobs etc... but one thing i'm a bit confused about is, what do you actually use mircrosoft word and excel for and where can i learn how to use it? thanks, amanda x
I think you should try out a bingo chat room and get some idea what the job is about. I can tell by your questions that you haven't yet been in a bingo chat room. That's a big part of job research no?
