In recent months, several lawsuits have been filed in both state and federal court in response to the losses suffered by patients prescribed Mirapex.
Mirapex is the most commonly prescribed drug used to treat idiopathic Parkinson’s disease in the US. Mirapex has also been linked to pathologic gambling in some people who take the drug. It is designed to increase the body’s production of dopamine and control the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Studies by the Barrow Institute of Neurology, the Mayo Clinic, and the latest by the FDA indicate that Mirapex is a liability to people who take the popular Parkinson’s disease medication.
