How To Get Rid Of Your Love Handles

Have you tried everything and still don't know how to get rid of love handles? Who called them "love handles" in the first place anyway? More like stubborn "fat handles" that won't shift no matter what you do.

I tried dieting and walking twice a week but my love handles were still there. And the diet made me hungry, so I ate – gasp! fattening foods, which meant my diet didn’t work at all.

One day I looked in the mirror at my love handles and almost cried. I’d had enough of my flabby, fatty handles. So I started to search for a solution.

In my research I found that if you diet and eat too little, your body gets used to having fewer calories and adjusts to living on fewer calories. So if you go off your diet and back to "normal" eating and a higher calorie intake (although it used to be your normal calorie intake), you’ll put on weight.

I also discovered that there could be psychological reasons why some people (like me) can’t get rid of their extra fat. It could be because of old conditioning, limiting beliefs, having a poor self image or subconsciously wanting to stay the same.

I also learnt that you need a combination of factors in order to be successful and get rid of stubborn love handles. Cardio training, strength training, nutrition and mental training are all equally important. If you only include two or three of these factors, it would be like trying to drive a car without an engine. You’ll get nowhere fast!

Once I put all these factors together, I started to see results. I only did strength and cardio training three days per week and it only took about 45 minutes each time, so I was able to fit it in with my full time job quite easily.

Once I knew exactly what I should eat, like lean protein, natural carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables (without going hungry) and understood the mental training component, there was no stopping me! I was on my way to becoming a lean, mean, fighting machine.

And now, several weeks later, I’ve finally gotten rid of my fatty, flabby love handles. I look and feel far fitter and healthier than I have in years. If I can get rid of my love handles, anyone can!
