SANDUSKY was NOT Prosecuted in 1998 by The DA WHO Disappeared in 2005; Why Not?

I believe the reason Penn State acted so quickly to remove Coach Joe Paterno, and the President of the College has to do with several possibilities. First, to help contain the scandal, and control what is being said to the media. Secondly, there is still the missing DA Ray Gricar, whose car was found in Lewisburg, about an hour from State College, Pa in 2005. Third, there could be others involved, with so many young boys coming forward now. This is NOT over by a long shot. At the time, the DA had prosecuted the huge drug bust of heroine/cocaine, which had some ties to the Middle East.
The home computer of the DA was found to have searches on how to destroy a hard drive, so it could not be recovered. Did the DA do those searches, or someone else who entered the home? What if, he was murdered because of the information he had? We do NOT know, yet.

The biggest mystery to me is "HOW" could the graduate student (age 28) go to work at the same University; in the same program with Sandusky, after seeing him molest that boy, that bothers me. Why was Sandusky still allowed to use the facility, and be participating in Sports with young boys, and young men. This is a travesty, and those who care more about the reputation of the college, and not so much about the children will pay a high price there.
Now, I'm not saying that Coach Patreno is liable for this, only that some of it makes absolutely NO sense, especially as to the access that was allowed to continue for Jerry SANDUSKY at Penn State after 1998. Possibly, the coach did not know as much as the media says, it will all come out now and those questions will be answered. This whole process may shed some light on the missing DA Ray Gricard, who was declared dead in July, 2011, but never found.
Could the DA have had an ongoing investigation, that once he had the right amount of information, it would be prosecuted? Or was his disappearance related to the drug case? The last drive he took through that area near Lewisburg, and his mini cooper being found at the Antique Store look very suspicious. The DA has never been found, that makes me think he was murdered elsewhere, no where near his car or Lewisburg, which is the home of another college; Bucknell University. Remember that Lewisburg is about an hour from State College, Pa, the home of Penn State.
My writing this is because I used State College, PA aka "State", which is Penn State; the college in my ebook "Bloody Clothes On The Interstate" ebook one/part one. My fiction story: Rachel's roommate in the book disappears from the college, and my protagonist does not feel safe there. The issue is drugs in the area, which is handled differently, than the huge "heroine/cocaine" bust, that was a 'true story' directly tied to the DA Ray Gricar, who disappeared.
My ebook one is strictly fiction using nothing of the actual crimes, but this scandal has really brought the ebook's background to light. Writers have to avoid legal issues, so I dropped Penn in favor of a local term for the college, and used the city name most of the time. There will be two more ebooks in the series "Bloody Highways", a contrast of crimes near or around our highways, which exposes the fact we cannot always avoid danger...as we go about our lives.

Despite that so many people are murdered every day, I still get shocked when I hear of something like the DA's disappearance.True Jennifer, and there is still the hope this DA disappeared to protect himself, although there is nothing to show that. The whole thing raises more questions than answers. Like you, I hope the whole truth will come out, and the mystery solved.
You sure did your homework on this. I don't think the Coach should have been fired so quickly. Seems kind of suspicious to me. It is my understanding that the coach did report this at the time...this is all very strange...wonder what will come out.

This scandal has more rumors about Sandusky, which are circulating, and I hope for Penn State they aren't true.
As for the Coach....he did what was required by law, but not enough to protect the young boy in the shower in 2002, but I don't know WHY Sandusky was still allowed to use the Sport facilities...that seems a no brainer; ban him. Everyone knew about the molesting case from 1998, so the 2002 incident should have clued them all in about Sandusky. There are so many questions yet unanswered in this mess, but I hope they resolve the missing DA case during their investigation.
