Every website you see has a banner placed on it somewhere. Ever thought how easy it was to make one?... a banner that is, not the website. That will be the next chapter. lol
I have a great little program that I use to make my banners. I make them as I need them. The process is simple and efficient and with practice you can 'whip' one out in short order. Just
follow these simple steps:
Banner Maker Pro allows you to make banners and buttons quickly and easily. Free trial - download.
- Any size banner can be created.
- Banners can be animated or static.
- Any image or logo can be added.
- Hundreds of backgrounds and images are available.
- Any font can be used.
Unzip and install the program. It will install a shortcut to you desktop.
Now your are ready to make your first banner.
Open the program and it will place you at Home - where you start your first banner.
There is a easy wizard interface if you just want to take the easy way but you still get a great banner using this method.
Or, get really creative and create your own custom banners.
Easy navigation with tabs running along the top of the program lead you through to the completion of you banner.
- Tabs for Size, Background, Border, Shapes, Images, Text, Text+ [additional text options], Angles [for fancier text display]
- Save[save your work]
- Animation [where you create the animation effects]
Select the Size Tab and decide your banner size. Radio button control or and box that allows you to create custom sizes.
Move to the Background Tab and decide what background color you want to use, if any.
Move next to the Border Tab and select the border style.
Shapes Tab will allow you to add shapes and objects to your banner.
You will be able to add drop shadows, gradients, colors, etc.
The Images Tab will allow you to insert you own images into your banner. The interface will open for you to browse you computer for any image you have saved and then select and it will insert it into your banner. Several adjustment tools are available also.
The Text Tab is where you select the font and text you want to apply to your banner. It selects the fonts that your have on your computer so you are only limited by your available selection of fonts.
The Text+ Tab will allow you to add special effects, 3D, shadows, spacing between letter.
The Angles Tab will allow you to set text at an angle or around a radius.
The Save Tab - once you have your completed banner you can go to the save tab and save your banner as .gif or .jpeg. You can ftp it to you website, email it, use the javascript button
to make a banner rotator for your website. Or simply save the banner image as part of an animation process and proceed back thru the steps to make the 2nd and 3rd or 4th step of
your animation process.
When complete you can select the Animation Tab and compile your animation and save and preview your banner and then if acceptable save it.
You can create animations using the one-step animation process.
- Create a single banner and then choose your animation to apply to the image. Banners can be created 468 x 60 pixels, but Banner Maker Pro can make any sized banner, including the new vertical [skyscraper] sizes.
You can also create frame-by-frame animations involve creating several static images and then pasting them together to create the animated image. The process is similar to how a cartoon is made.
All your images are saved in the BannerMakerPro folder in the programs files or you can set up your own folder and save them there until you are ready to upload to your website.
The program has a website where you can view samples of banners buttons and a lot of resource links to additional clip art, fonts and images.
Once you find out how easy it is to make your own banners you will only need to upgrade to the full program and you are on your way to instant banner creation. Then anytime you feel the need to freshen up your website or advertising campaign just open BannerMakerPro and do it.
Banner Maker Pro can easily create buttons, too. There is a wide variety of styles and sizes. For example, you can:
- Use any color background, gradient, or image on your background.
- Use any font on your computer.
- Add any image to the button.
- The buttons can be any size.
- Option available to create the JavaScript that makes mouse roll-overs by creating two images and then use the Create Mouse-Over function to create the html and javascript to create the effect.
- There is also a banner rotator maker.
This is a great little program the is easy to learn how to use. The possibilities are endless. You will only be limited by your creativity.
