Suppose you could receive today's hottest video games free of charge? Suppose you could be paid up to $80 per hour to play those video games? This is the life of a video game tester. Video game testers are in demand due to massive growth in the gaming industry.

Individuals are receiving hundreds of dollars per assignment to simply play and share their thoughts on the latest video games to hit the market. Anyone can land a job as video game tester. The only requirement is that you own a video game system to test the games. Here is a three step system for cashing in on a job as a video game tester.

1. Find a Video Game Tester Job

Finding a video game tester job can be a difficult process. Unless you're connected to someone in the video game industry, you'll be hard pressed to locate a company to hire you has a video game tester. Your best shot at landing a game testing job is getting help from someone connected to the industry. Once you're in, you must make sure you continue to complete each assignment given to you. If you fail to complete each job, you'll soon lose your dream job.

2. Check Your Mailbox

After being hired as a video game tester, you'll soon begin to receive assignments via mail. The package will include a video game and an assignment sheet for you to fill out and return after your job has been completed. The company will also inform you of your hourly pay. Be sure to thoroughly read the assignment sheet before playing the game. You'll want to make sure you understand the goal of your assignment before you start. Typically, the assignment will ask you to find glitches and how the game play was for single /multiplayer gaming. Once you've finished playing, fill out your assignment sheet and return it to the gaming company.

3. Cash Your Check Getting paid for gaming is one of the most exciting aspects of being a video game tester. After you complete each video game testing job, you'll receive your check in the mail. Each check will arrive approximately two weeks after completing each job given to you. Plus, you'll also be keeping the free video game you received for the job.

Hopefully, this article has helped you understand how to become a video game tester. It is an exciting job and the pay is excellent. Good luck on your quest to land your job in video game testing and don't forget to enjoy the ride!

Can kids become testers? I'm about to become twelve, and I have a Computer, GBA, and PS2. I don't know where to go to become a tester. I'm not really in it for the money, mostly just the free games. Please tell me where I can go!

Ok, seriously, this article is pretty dumb. No, kids cannot be testers. It's a job, just like any other job. If you live in a city where video game development is done (anywhere near Los Angeles, a little in Washington, and some random cities), you go through the companies website, or through a temp agency. They get you the job, paying between 9-10 dollars an hour. You then work 40-100 hours a week until you're laid off (most companies lay off personnel pretty constantly, so that they don't have to pay them benefits). It's a step above working fast food, but only a small one.

To become a video game tester you need at least a 2 year art degree in 3d design or other related stuff. its just my opinion but video game testing sucks cause the games are only half done but thats why there paying you for to rumble through the game and look for all the glitches and bad parts and then after that you have to write a 10 page report and send it back to them and then gotta wait a week for a 200$ check. thats like working at bestbuy or walmart execept you lack in social values and put in at least 20+ more hours. FYI this report totally sucked.
