She has been a source of enlightenment and a symbol of strength, for the entire world to view located here in New York Harbor since1886. A courageous lady standing tall with an outstretched arm extended to the heavens. A strong grip of her right hand clinched firmly around the torch of liberty, and holding it high.

She has also stood as an inspiration to all who have had a dream to fulfill. A welcomed reminder of her significance to veterans returning from war, a tower of light giving hope to the poor, the tired, from all over the world yearning to breathe free, and a beacon of faith for lost souls in the world guiding them in safely into to a port of discovery.

Not so, far from where she stands, is another symbol of unity. The structural home of the United Nations, we may call her a lady as well, A lady of compassion, calling on and welcoming those who represent, and speak on behalf of the people of their homeland. Opening her doors to leaders from all nations throughout the entire world. Allowing and uniting them to speak in one voice. The voice of humanity, a language understood by all peoples of the world. The heart, of all human beings, translating the universal language of love, when spoken, openly, honestly, and freely.
