Looking to make some extra cash online? As hard as it is to believe it is entirely possible to make money on the internet. While I haven’t gotten rich in the last two years I have been able to carve out a little piece of the internet pie for myself. I got started much like anyone else. I started using Google search to find ways to make money online. I checked many different search phrases and found so many possibilities that I was overwhelmed by what actually worked and what might be a scam. I checked out online surveys, creating affiliate web sites, MLM’s and Google Adsense just to name a few.
In the end I spent a good month researching all these possibilities trying to figure out the best route to make extra cash online. I was looking for something relatively easy that I could get up and running quickly. Creating a web site was out of my league as I had never even attempted to build one and online surveys and MLM’s, well they just seemed kind of shady. Then one day I came across an excerpt from an e-book called Google Cash by Chris Carpenter. What caught my eye initially was that I didn’t need to have a web site and I could make money by using Google Adwords, the largest and most popular search engine in the world. It sounded quite simple, place small paid ads on Google and get a commission on anything I sold.
I went ahead and purchased Google Cash and my online money making experience began. There was a learning curve and for the first 3 months I lost money. Not a whole lot because I was careful with my daily budget. And then something amazing happened, after much trial and error on the 4 month I made a profit of almost $400. The next month I made a little more. From that point on I slowly grew my profits, finding tid-bits of information here and there on the internet that helped show me how to make my Adwords campaigns more profitable.
In fact in my quest to make extra cash online I was able to profit a little over $23,000 during the year of 2005 and my return on investment (ROI) for that year was over 100%. I made over 2 dollars for every dollar I invested. That’s a nice bit of extra cash in addition to my full time job.
As I said before there is a learning curve when it comes Adwords. I have found many resources on the internet that are helpful, but until I found what I believe to be the best resource available I was still not maximizing my Adwords effort.
What I found was the expert knowledge of two experienced internet marketers by the name of Carson and Kyle. They have created two resources that give in depth knowledge and insight into the world of affiliate marketing.
• Beating Adwords – The definitive guide to Google Adwords. This downloadable e-book gives step by step instructions to using Adwords with in-depth examples and real world advice.
• Wealthy Affiliate – The membership site where Carson and Kyle provide personalized coaching and a vast array of resources, tutorials, case studies and a member’s forum. The resources and help you will receive from this site alone more than pays for the monthly membership cost.
I personally joined the Wealthy Affiliate site in October of 2005 and immediately began to apply what I learned from not only Carson and Kyle but also from the member’s forum to my Adwords campaigns. I also purchased Beating Adwords soon after and found even more good information there. Since then using the strategies learned from these two great resources my ROI has steadily increased to the point where it is nearly 300% today.
If you are looking to make extra cash online then you need to take a look at Beating Adwords and the Wealthy Affiliate membership site. Either one will point you in the right direction, but taken together their strategies and techniques cannot be beat.
